I am really surprised regarding some of the reviews concerning Dr. Pichel. I was a patient of his for over fifteen years and in those years was given compassionate, professional, treatment from this very caring physician. He spent all of the time I needed to converse with him. All my needs were met and I never had a wait time like one reviewer stated. Age and distance prevents me from seeing this wonderful doctor any more. How I wish I could still be under his care.

Referred to Dr. Pischel to rule out Lupus. Waited 1 hour to get into a room and another 45 minutes for doctor to come in. After some frustrating questions, like "when your Calcium is high, do you feel worse", (how would I know when my Calcium is high until I get labs back??), and "what part of your ears get red when you have a fever?" REALLY?? Left office with no diagnosis, no answers, just half of my day gone, upset and more frustrated than ever!

Extremely knowledgeable and kind. Careful and flexible, spends time with patient and listens carefully. Highly qualified with board certifications and degrees. One of the very best.

Dr. Pischel, had the worse attitude when I met him. I was being treated by another Rheumatologist and Dr. Pischel said he disagreed with his diagnosis for me. However, he continued to prescribe biological treatment for the diagnosis he disagreed with. When I questioned him about that, he said this is your treatment-final. Then left the room.

Dr. Pischel has been my rheumy for 13 years and I'm not an easy patient! He has always had a kind and caring beside manner and is very knowledgeable and really views our relationship as a partnership. He listens to my ideas, opinions and concerns. I honestly don't know where I would be without his care.

Great diagnostician. Fantastic and helpful staff, especially his nurse, Darlene. If I've ever run into a problem in between appointments, Darlene is quick to return my phone call. Dr. Pischel and his staff are compassionate, smart, and they frequently run on-time. What more can you ask for?
