Dr. Kenneth Francis Casey, MD

I had a failed MVD at the Mayo Clinic. My surgeon never once would even consider that perhaps he had missed something. (I had visible compressions on my MRI!) My neurosurgeon at the Mayo completely wrote me off and said there was nothing more he could do for me. Thanks to a re-do with Dr. Casey, the other compressions were found and resolved. That was 8 years ago and I am still pain free! Yes, he talks a lot, and yes he talks about his work through the years. He’s a neurosurgeon! I’ve met several (unfortunately) and they are an unusual breed. ??

I first met Dr. Casey about 3 years ago about my trigeminal neuralga . We first tried medication, but that only worked for a year or so. He then gave me the option of the micro surgery. He explained all the complications which could occure and the pain was so severe that i opted for the surgery. The out come was instant relief. I would recommend Dr. Casey for help with this problem. Thank you very much Doctor.

Saw Dr. Casey for a surgical procedure for Trigeminal Neuralgia. This was told to be a 3 day ordeal. I ended up in Intensive Care for 5 days. The surgery did not work and it changed my quality of life forever. Please be careful . His people skills are the worst. He makes his visits late nights so he doesn’t have to see people. This was never talked about. Get the worst case scenarios. Big Mistake on our part.

Very self absorbed. He may be a good surgeon but lacks people skills.

Dr. Casey is awesome! Can't express enough how much he understood my pain with trigeminal Neuralgia. He performed a MVD on me and it has been 15 months since surgery and as of now no pain. Still have some numbness on the side of my face where he performed surgery. He is remarkable.! Would recommend to anyone.

In my opinion Dr Casey is one of the best of the few neurosurgeons who specializes in treating facial pain. He coauthored the 'bible' of facial pain titled "Striking Back". I flew from Texas to Detroit three times last year to set up and have motor cortex stimulation surgery for trigeminal neuropathic pain and trigeminal deafferentation pain. Although I have not yet received total relief from the pain, we are still doing trials on different settings. I would still see Dr Casey for any facial pain treatments. He truly cares about people who suffer from these terrible conditions.

Dr. Casey sets the bar for doctors. He cuts right to what needs to be done and what he tells you is accurate.

Dr. Casey put in my Motor Cortex Simulator for Anesthesia Dolorosa 6 years ago and it is still working for me. I have heard him speak at TNA Conferences and came to San Diego to talk to my Support Group here. I had to take reservations for this and it seems like everyone who know Dr. Casey was coming to SD was there.

This doctor is patient focused and so passionate about helping. For somebody dealing with trigeminal neuralgia, he certainly is the man to see.

He is the best surgeon to refer anyone too if they need an MVD! EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT
