Dr. Kenneth Donald Elman, MD

He has been my Primary Treating Doctor for 9 years. He is highly qualified, outgoing personality, and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent family doctor.

I haven't written many, if any, negative reviews on here. However, I felt my experience with Dr. Elman warranted it and to be perfectly honest I would feel worse if I didn't say anything. I went to Dr. Elman to do a routine physical, and without going into detail with what happened, I was astonished and taken aback by his rudeness, lack of professionalism and his extreme temperamental characteristics. He also exhibited difficulties with listening and seemed rather supercilious and contemptuous in our discussions. It wasn't later, after I had already terminated our professional relationship, when I received a bill from my insurance and noticed that he submitted claims for services that I had not requested. I hesitate to allege malpractice rather than an oversight, but then again my bias is such that the former seems more likely.

I found out I had A-Fib from another doctor - Dr. Elman never mentioned it. What is the use of going to a Dr. like that?

Dr Elman wouldn't let me have a blood test. He said you can get an infection. I thought my new excess weight might be related to a thyroid problem. He basically said it is not your thyroid and you just eat to much. As I was crying , he continued to insult me (with a smile on his face). Don't go this office if you don'tlike to wait an hour to see the doctor!!

Very attentive and cares. Explains conditions thoroughly. Follows up with patients. Has a good sense of humor. His nurse (Dara) is great, as well. The whole office staff is great.

It is not ok to leave patients in pain and suffering just because you don't believe in a certain branch of medicine! If you are in pain and suffering, do not go see this doctor! He does not believe in pain management in any form beyond Aleve and stretching, which only helps a broken rib a tiny bit. I was in a major car accident the other day and have a fractured rib, a concussion, a couple scrapes and bumps on my head and arms, and bruises everywhere. The on call doctor for this office told me that if after I tried the Celebrex sample I was still in pain, that doctor Elman should write me a prescription for something that will alleviate the pain, but I am flat out being refused any pain management. I will NEVER go see this doctor again, and would absolutely not recommend anyone else see him either. The way that I have been treated here is completely inhumane and shocking. The second he heard I had been given Vicodin at the hospital he stated that we needed to "get me off of that right… away," without even looking at me to see what was wrong! Apparently pain management is a branch of medicine that Dr Elman has decided to blindly ignore. If you have a cold, maybe he can help. If you are in pain, find another doctor. My new doctor has already made the statement that Dr. Elman should not continue to practice medicine, and I agree.
