He sells his opinion to insurance companies to deny medically necessary treatment for patients he has never seen.

22 months post surgery I'm left with permanent nerve damage in left leg from spinal surgery that was repeated 3 days after the original surgery. 23 months ago, I was able to play tennis, rake leaves, and jog. Surgery was supposed to relieve some back pain on standing for more than an hour. Now, I am not able any longer to do these things.

Since my surgery in 2013 by Dr Kopacz I've been disabled and still suffer from tremendous amounts of pain every day!

BEWARE!!! This man is a paid agent of insurance companies and will do whatever the insurance company wants him to do for money. My wife had a car accident and she was sent to this man for IME ("independent" medical evaluation). He asked a few questions to my wife and didn't do a full neurological exams and concluded that she does not need further treatment. My wife eventually had anterior cervical dissectomy with fusion and the care insurance refused to pay for surgery. She is doing well and pain free. What a disgrace to the medical profession. I hope that he could sleep at night. God will be your final arbiter! SMG beware, you are putting your reputation at risk for hiring this man.

Excellent surgeon. He was my 3rd opinion and had the most conservative approach. The other doctors wanted to take out discs, screws rods, major rebuild of my spine. Dr Kopaz just removed my cyst, minimal surgery, easy recovery and I am completely pain free!!

Dr Kopacz is a warm and kind person, qualities not often found in a surgeon. And is he a very good surgeon. Just before being wheeled in for surgery, the surgical nurse told me that he chose Dr Kopacz, (out of all of the surgeons he worked with), for his own back surgery. Thatn made me feel so much better as I went under. Dr Kopacz chose a much less invasive surgical option for me. The two previous doctors I spoke to wanted do a way more complicated, drastic surgery. My surgical outcome with Dr Kopacz was a complete success! I cant recommend him highly enough!
