Dr. Kenneth Cohen

Dr. Cohen was wonderful. I now have permanent lenses because of Dr. Cohen’s vast knowledge and expertise. He was friendly, treated me respectfully and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed. Dr. Cohen has a stellar reputation amongst those who are medically involved in ophthalmology at UNC. I’d asked my eye doctor’s nurse who she would send her mother to to have this surgery and she said Cohen hands down. If he has the skills for medical professionals to go to him than he’s a great choice for me ... and he was. Ultimately your paying for his knowledge and expertise ... not his bedside manner. For my eye surgery I wanted the best of the best, Dr. Cohen was that for me

My experience with Dr. Cohen was terrible. He was grumpy and mean and spent about 30 seconds with me. I will find a doctor with a better attitude... someone who cares vs. a doctor who is just anxious to get rid of you.

I had very difficult eyes--thin corneas, frequent erosions due to dry eyes. 7 years ago Dr. Cohen performed cataract surgery on my eyes, and I now have excellent vision without any need for glasses. Dr. Cohen has taught the latest cataract methodologies at Harvard each year at an annual seminar for many years. Dr. Cohen, is quite simply the best. If you want a chatty surgeon, go elsewhere. But , if you want someone you can trust implicitly with your eyes, Dr. Cohen is the best.

If you want a doctor who dismisses your valid concerns, interupts you and walks away mid conversation then Dr. Cohen is your guy. If you want to be treated with consideration and respect look elsewhere.

Very knowledgeable, years of experience, and loves his work. Brisk and efficient he may seem abrupt to some. I like his manner and he will slow down by if you? need him to. He cares a lot better about his be patients.

This doctor ruined my vision. He said he could remove the cataracts and put in lenses that would leave me with the same vision and solve the lack of night vision. Instead he forgot that the first rule of doctoring "First do no harm." Now my vision is much worse and the lights at night glare with halos. Do not trust this doctor.
