Dr. Kent Jerome Beachler

This was years ago when I went. The reason the staff is not helpful is because there is no staff. He answers the phone himself. When I went in for a consult on what I thought was rosacia, he sat 10 ft away from me & never got any closer. He gave me no less than 5 samples of varying things for varying issues and 3 prescriptions. I had initially asked about laser treatments for broken capillaries, he waved towards a dusty looking contraption in the corner and told me, sure, he could do that. No way, buddy. I could not get out of there fast enough and tossed the rx's and the samples in the trash. The whole visit was just bizarre!

I saw this doctor several years ago but a friend brought him up to me recently and I wanted to share my experience. Dr. Beachler was a miserable old grump. I've had a chronic skin condition for most of my life that had gotten progressively worse. I had self-diagnosed it for years and only sought professional treatment when it became increasingly painful, so I made my first ever dermatologist appointment with Dr. Beachler. When I told him what I assumed I had, he scoffed at me, basically scolded me for researching my own disease and said "well IF that's what you have, I'll give you acutane" He offered no other diagnoses, and didn't even examine me. He then grilled me about making sure that I wasn't pregnant and went on and on about how I could NOT get pregnant while taking acutane. I told him I understood but he kept on going, bordering on threatening me that the fetus would not be able to survive. I reiterated that I had ZERO intention of becoming pregnant (I was a freshman in… college!). The acutane only made me sick and did nothing for my condition. I did more research on my own and found out that acutane has long since been discounted by the medical community as a treatment option for my condition. So in conclusion, Dr. Beachler is probably the worst doctor I have ever been to. He's condescending, flippant and doesn't keep up with developments in his field. Stay Away!

Looking for a Dermatologist this man seemed to have good reviews. I call to make an appointment the receptionist sounded like he was 100 years old. When asked what the problem was I said Uh skin consult. He said I can come in today. Today I can't. He said sorry cant help you... Very Laughable for a practice!

Well I did not get an appointment. It is 9:15 AM on a Wed. when I called. The rudeness on the other end of the line was stunning. I stated my problem and was forceable told they are not open. There was no follow-up or concern shown for me in any way. This is not an office that is concerned with people as far as I can tell.

I have been going to Doctor Beachler for years. I can only say wonderful things about him.Marilyn
