Dr. Kent Gabriel, MD

I wrote one review starting with Lousy customer service and now one month later I still haven’t received my quote for my surgery, I called the billing dept to tell them I’m not paying this bill and why and she said don’t cause you will never get that call, she said (their billing dept) that office it horrible to work with, I just can’t believe this Dr is this bad, I sure hope future patients are reading these reviews!

Lousy customer service, just terrible. I am just shocked. Got the bill, never received the quote for the surgery, never got anyone to call back on my messages. I’m not paying the bill and the billing department even said that office is just terrible to deal with- good luck!

Dr. Gabriel's staff is professional, friendly, and competent. Dr. Gabriel, himself, is an excellent surgeon. Although friendly, he is for the most part, all business. He clearly explained the possible ramifications of the procedure, and closely monitored my progress until I was essentially pain free. Jim Darrough

Dr Gabriel treated my two broken wrists suffered a month apart from each other. He diagnosed, recommended a course of treatments beginning with innovative surgical procedures on both hands. His work was amazing, the results were amazing. As I was a difficult patient who required additional follow-up attention due to circumstances that caused minor reinjuries, Dr Gabriel was extremely patient and understanding of my inability to follow his orders. He has provided excellent care for me since 2005 and I trust him with my life. As far as his office staff, I have dealt with some of the same staff since 2005 and find them professional and courteous and have no complaints about wait times. Great Doctor.

Dr. Gabriel seems to me to be as any surgery doctor I have had before. I've had my left hand surgery done before in Fresno Ca by a specialist and as far as I can tell Dr. Gabriel did a great job on my hand. The surgery was successful and I'm able to use my hand again, recovering time was around 6 weeks as he explained and I have the use of my hand again. My appointments were quite good. My wait was short, my consultation was good, all my questions had been answered. I was not left waiting to long for Dr. Gabriel. The office staff quite nice and very friendly. A great experience overall, I'm happy with the surgery! I don't know about anyone else, but I would certainly recommend Dr. Gabriel.

I wish I read these reviews before I had surgery. Now almost a year after surgery and results are terrible. I'm going for another opinion and considering malpractice for poor judgement and improper care by this physician. The lack of communication by this physician is an understand meant. There was more communication from the patients in the waiting area. I pushed for answers and got NONE!!!!! Disappointed, frustrated, angry and still in pain.

Dr. Gabriel may or may not be a good surgeon but unfortunately his skills at communication override this. Know matter what questions I asked they were not answered. There was avoidance, diversion and simple one word answers. I understand this happening from the nurses and staff but not from Dr. Gabriel. I would get a second opinion and choose another surgeon in the future.

Anyone who cares about themselves owes it to themselves to get a second opinion! I regret trusting Gabriel without checking other options. This is a well-oiled money making machine office. He almost operated on the wrong eye! Doctors are not Gods! Protect yourself and do your homework. I would never recommend this doctor nor would I ever use his services again! This was and still is the worst experience of my life. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to Reno to professional surgeons and prevent the mutilation I have experienced and have to live with for the rest of my life.

I would never recommend this physician. My initial appointment was never put into the computer. Waited almost an hour for a consultation that was interrupted several times and never completed. I was led to believe my issues could be positively resolved only to find out after surgery this would never be the case. Surgery was late to start and I was charged for the extra time. Dr. Gabriel went on vacation during my recovery and there were complications from the stitches and no one to help me. The office is chaos and you are burned and turned as to get as many patients/customers through the door and on the cutting table. There is no bed side manner or compassion, only concerns for the Dr. and his practice/business. One of the worst experiences of my life. I have nothing but regrets for choosing Dr. Gabriel. I cry every day that I look at myself in the mirror. Protect your most precious asset...your body and choose someone else.
