Dr. Kevin B. Karikomi, DO

His assistant who asked for my history was condescending and rude. He acted rushed and didn't want to be there. He did not explain his diagnosis or what the medical terms meant. Never told me what to do in the future. Left the room abruptly without asking if I had questions. Acted like I was below him and he was doing me a favor by seeing him. Heck I just paid his salary. First time I've ever been treated bad by a doctor. Should have just gone to my family practice. Waste of money, time and my dignity. F-

I have been a patient of Dr Karikoml for over 20 years and he is an excellent diagnostician and surgeon.

My urologist wanted me to see a dermatologist before he performed a procedure for a skin condition in a “sensitive” area. It was already humiliating having to meet him in his office with my pants off and wrapped in a paper sheet but then Dr. Karikomi talked to me like I was an idiot. Before he even looked at it, he already knew what was wrong and that there was no other way to treat it beyond elective surgery. I kept telling him that I saw him because I was told to. When he finally did check out the condition, he checked for barely a second and continued to rant that he had no idea why I was seein him. He kept looking at me like an idiot, annoyed, and hardly sensitive to how I felt. I went in for a humiliating condition and left even more humiliated.

I called to see if I could get my daughter in to see Dr Karikomi while she was home from college on break. I was inquiring about the chance of a cancellation and the scheduler laughed hysterically. She continued to laugh hysterically for about ten seconds and then said he would be out. It was like talking to a twelve year old. I'm not upset that we didn't get her in and I certainly understand the doctor taking time off, but the lack of professionalism at this office is unfortunate. I have worked in customer service for years and without a doubt this was the most inappropriate response I have ever experienced. I am a patient of Dr Karikomi and like him very much but this is not the only problem I have had with his staff. My husband, myself, and my son are all patients there. Dr. Karikomi is a good doctor but we won't be back.

A biopsy was done on me and skin cancer area supposedly identified. After being numbed for surgery, surgeon asked me where the cancer was and asked me to point with my finger where I thought it was. I asked him, "Didn't Dr. Karikomi definitively identify it on the charts?" Can you imagine going under the knife when the surgeon could not identify the skin cancer? He said Dr. Karikomi did not identify it properly in my charts. I should have walked out then and there but was numbed up so I did not. After confronting Karikomi, he said that the lab results were responsible. Pathetic!

Have read the reviews for Dr Karikomi, and I guess all I can say is....did you see a different Dr Karikomi than I did? The Dr I saw was very nice, explained everything to me, made me feel very comfortable, (my problem was very embarrassing for me). Mine was a medical problem, not any kind of cosmetic surgery. I was referred by my doctor, and they got me in within the week. I have done several follow up visits with him and can only say he was wonderful.

The services provided by Dr. Karakomi were below par. His treatment and follow-up were not thorough. I was referred to another doctor by him for a MOHS Excision and Karakomi's charts did not identify definitively where the basal cells were so the doctor had to ask me to put my finger where I thought they were and he marked it with a pen. After telling Karakomi this, he blamed it on the pathology reports saying his charts were correct but pathology had misidentified the area. If this were the case, he should have pointed that out in his records (pathology report does not match Karakomi's) he sent the excision doctor so there would be no questions where the basal cells were located. Dr. Karakomi simply is not thorough and this mishap which caused great anxiety (imagine having a surgeon asking you where the cancer is and to identify it) could have been circumvented.

Dr. Karikomi is very professional and has always been able to fix my medical problems. He is kind and gentle and is very good at making you feel comfortable while undergoing any surgeries or treatments. I would highly recomend his services!

This "doctor" burned my face severly with the Fraxel Laser. He then proceeded to lie about my condition. His very unprofessional and uneducated staff (he does not hire nurses, just girls off the street without any education)did not relay information about serrous fluid and burns and bleeding or he refused to respond. My face is now grossley discolored (dark hyperpigmentation all over, it is very marked)and the quality and integrity of my skin has declined immencely. My skin is scarred and pitted from the laser. The texture is shiny and ridged as in a burn. Some areas are clearly "melted". Other areas look like I had large pores and pitted acne. One minute in the sun and I am covered with darker browns lines and patches all over my face. This ''doctor is awful. He lied in medical records and refused to give me my pictures. When he did finally give them he had the dates changed. He refused to release any pics prior to the Fraxel incident. He has done this to more than one person and… should have his license pulled to prevent him from ruining more lives.
