Dr. Kevin Jethalal Makati, MD

I traveled from afar to see this EP. He publishes research and is active in cutting edge techniques and thats what I wanted . . . not a doc practicing yesterdays medicine. Fixed me when everyone told me I was too far gone. Actually spent time talking to me . . . not just another number. Explained to me options. Educated me when others were quick to get me out of the office. I thank my friend for sending me his info. Thank you Doc!

I started seeing Dr. Makati in 2013 when he diagnosed me with AFIB. Dr. Makati never followed up with the test results for a scan I received in 2013. that he ordered. At that time the scan showed I had peripheral artery disease. I was never informed of the results and because he didn’t follow up with the hospital I was never treated for the PAD and was treated incorrectly for the AFIB. I am extremely lucky that I didn’t have a stroke the past six years while in Dr. Makati’s treatment. Now, that I’m under the care of another cardiologist my eyes are opened as to how neglectful Dr. Makati is.

7 years ago God blessed me with this skilled Doctor. How he took care of me and continues to is truly a blessing. I am grateful he is my doctor.

Dr Makati treated my in the hospital after admission through the ER. He is skilled and informative. I would find it a pleasure to be treated my him again. However, his office staff is not friendly or helpful. For two days I was unable to contact the office by phone and finally went to the office to schedule. No apologies were given and the staff member noted they were too busy to respond to voicemails. At that time I provided insurance information. 24 hours prior to my appointment I was notified my insurance requires a referral (unknown why this wasn't noted when insurance information was provided). Nonetheless, all the office staff would do was a wound check without the referral. The staff member did not introduce/identify themselves as to who they were or what they required. Again, horrible staff, great doctor.

Dr. Makati is one of the best cardiologist that I have ever had!! He is patient, professional, highly qualified, respected and I have complete confidence that his skill in mapping using GPS to locate the exact place for the ablation is excellent!

I recently had an ablation by another EP in the area with recurrent symptoms. Dr. M fixed and I'm still doing great!!!!!

He is by far the most compassionate of docs in the area and skilled. I have sent my entire family to him. Thank god he has moved here
