Dr. Khaldoun Riad Abouelhosn, MD

In order to receive a life saving drug, a feeding tube was required. Under his watch there were 2 failed attempts to properly install one. His written statement regarding the first attempt was that I requested removal. This is a lie and a cover-up. It was removed because it didn't work. No medicine or food was administered. This event was witnessed by at least 3 people. The second attempt was even worse with the tube entering the area of my lungs and causing rapid atrial fibrillation. It too had to be removed. Over a 5 day hospitalization, he failed to provide relief of a total inability to swallow, difficulty in breathing that made sleeping nearly impossible, and any food other than IV fluids in what was supposed to be a treatable illness. I am only able to write this because a daughter removed me from hospice care and took me to UCSD Med center.

This guy is the worst. He has the worst bedside manner and no follow through. He was going to discharge my 96 Mother without oxygen until I questioned the nurse and social worker. The PT came through with a bad report on my Mom's lack of oxygen level (low 80s) and erratic heart beat. She was in the hospital 12 hours when they were trying to kick her out. My Mom's primary care Doctor said she should have be discharged to skilled nursing. But this Dr. lack of follow through is a crime. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Very pleasant experience. His staff is excellent. He spent enough time with me to go over all my medical issues. excellent bedside manners and made me feel very comfortable to discuss multiple medical issues even a female related concern that I felt embarrassed to discuss with previous physician

At first this Dr. is friendly, however if you have a continual medical problem he does not make any recommendations for specialist. He become rude and short after awhile. He does send you home with plenty of prescriptions of medicines that are really not needed. I have found that is bed side manner is not appropriate. I found another MD that is pleasant takes time and makes the appropriate recommendations, my new MD proved to me Dr. Khaldoun has no bed side manner. I have talked to other women patients of Dr. "K" who feel uncomfortable with him,Thank You for your time.

great communication skills and excellent bedside manners. Discussed all my concerns without being concerned about time

Dr.Khaldon, has a poor bed side manner.He does not take time to listen to the patients needs in particular women.I would not recommend Dr. Khaldon particulary to young or middle aged women.

Allows you to speak and share your concerns. Listens wihtout rushing.Very knowledgeable.
