Dr. Kristan Virginia Adams, MD

Absolutely horrible experience. I’m not sure if it was because she was busy or what. The whole visit felt very rushed. She did not thoroughly explain anything to me. She did not educate me on what to expect after the procedure and she also did not educate me on what to do for pain or how long it would take my body to go back to normal. It was very impersonal and I was not happy with the care I received at all.

I have had one appointment with Dr Adams. I chose to visit with her for one specific purpose when my regular doctor was unavailable for a couple months. I had not received any recommendations for her before calling the office to set up an appointment. Pro's: Dr Adams listened to what I wanted. She seemed to understand my concerns. She took the time to explain her point of view and make sure I understood the limits and capabilities of what I was asking for. The staff at her office were all very friendly. Con's: When Dr Adams learned of my cultural/lifestyle choices (which were pertinent to the appointment topic), her reaction seemed to be tinted with disgust. I felt that she was aggravated with my beliefs and also that she just wanted to "be done" with my appointment because she disagreed with the choices I've made for my own body and life. I'd made it clear at the beginning of the appointment that I wanted her to share with me any options I might have in order to get the results… I'm looking for. She gave me a few options. Her first options made me feel like she was trying to pressure me into something that my beliefs disagree with. When I told her that I would not do that, she gave me a few other options and we finished the appointment. Unfortunately, in the week since my visit, I have learned of a couple other options that I had never known about, and she did not mention those options to me at all. Both of those options seem to fit in with my beliefs and lifestyle better than anything she discussed during the visit. I feel that, in large part, the appointment was wasted time and money. I felt ridiculed and shoved off without any valuable help given. My final thought is that Dr Adams is probably a wonderful doctor for those people who follow the norms of American beliefs and modern culture. But if a person holds to somewhat different beliefs, Dr Adams is probably not the person who will listen to them and help them in a meaningful way for them to live life to the fullest within their own culture.

I switched doctors within the practice and started to see Dr. Adams. I couldn't be happier with her. She seems gives you undivided attention in a busy office - and has a laid back, and relatable bedside manner. I feel very comfortable being in her care... as well as her nurse's, Sabrina. Would highly recommend to friends - however, practice is big and those who require lots of extra attention may want a smaller group.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Adams. I was recommended to her after having some poor experiences with other OBGYNS. Dr. Adams is a caring doctor, who takes the time to explain the causes of your illness and treatment options. Sometimes she is very busy but I don;t mind that because I know when I get her I will get her full attention. Even though this is a very busy practice with lots of doctors, the nurses (especially Sabrina) are also very kind and helpful and someone always picks up the phone when you have to make an appointment.

The best doctor ever! She is very concerned about her patients and spends a lot of time with you discussing any problems that you may have. She is very compassionate and caring. She follows up with her patients also to make sure that everything is okay. I am a patient and now my daughter is a patient. I would recommend Dr. Adams to everyone!
