I had not felt well for a while. I had been to quite a few other doctors and they couldn't find anything wrong. Dr. Rudgear figured it out quickly and now I feel great! Just wish I would of found her sooner!
She was caring and patient.
Treated me with care and corrective provision. I felt cared like a patient should.
I would definitely choose this doctor again. Dr. Rudgear has done more to help me feel good again than the other two doctors I was seeing previously. She treats the whole person, not just the diagnosis initially seen for. I have never had to wait more than five minutes past my appointment time.
Terrible, Never get to see Kristina. Her staff is always quitting, obviously for better jobs. Got the feeling that they would schedule you to come back for the office visit $, even though they could have taken care of the procedure when you are already there. The office is full of expensive lotions and creams. She should be selling Metabolife and get out of the medical field.
From the moment I entered this office, I was overwhelmed by the feeling that I had been granted a HUGE favor by being allowed through the door. I REALLY knew I had made a mistake when I saw pamphlets EVERYWHERE trying to sell spa-type goods and services (I don't remember seeing a single piece of endocrine-related literature on display; maybe they were under the beauty pamphlets.) But the clincher for me was when the doctor came in just long enough to state nastily,"There's nothing wrong with your thyroid; you don't need to be on the medicine your internist prescribed" as she sailed out of the room. I was told to repeat labs in a month and to make another appointment to come back to go over the labs. (Huh? Wouldn't a phone call with my labs suffice?) That month I felt absolutely awful, with zero energy and constantly fighting to stay awake during the day. Needless to say, I cancelled the scheduled labs and appointment, and thankfully found another doctor who did PROPER TESTING and found I had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis; he placed me on the right dosage of medication and I now feel WONDERFUL. As for this woman's "credentials," they appear to be used not for the patients' benefit, but solely for her own ego.
I have been a patient here probably since it has opened and at that time it was lovely. Always saw Dr. Rudgear and the staff was friendly. Boy, has that changed. Being a professional in the medical office field I expect a little more when I go to other doctors offices. The staff is completely rude everytime I call or come in for an appointment. The lady at the fronty checking in (Lori?) she was the only nice one I came in contact with. I see a different PA everytime I go there- so I really have no connection with this office now and feel that I am just another patient # they are trying to get through. None the less- none of this is surprising to me. What was surprising is that after making some major diabetic medicine changes- I call a few days later with some questions and am told that I need to make an appointment to go over these!? My questions were regarding simple things like carb:ratio adjustments and was basically shrugged off by the PA'S medical assistant. Disappointed that they don't care enough about their patients concerns to pull down a chart and at least help someone out who is trying to gain better control. I am now turning to google to try and figure out my insulin needs instead of this "highly qualified" doctors office. If you are reading this- I would keep looking for another doc.
Dr. Rudgear is a fabulous doc...caring, competent and attentive to my concerns.
Wonderful doc...caring and competent. Definitely the best endo in the valley.
Horrible office! They are obviously in the business to profit and not to help their patients. I've been a Thyroid Cancer patient for several years. I had doubts about the office in the beginning, but kept giving each new PA a chance. I'e only see the doctor twice, and I've had 4 different PAs whom I had to update on my situation each visit. I got contradictory information each visit. They make you schedule a an appt to get lab results, even when they're normal. And I had to pay a $50 copay to see a PA unfamiliar with my situation just to get results. When it came time to schedule my RAI treatment (which includes isolation from kids), it took several calls to get return call. They couldn't work with my schedule for treatment. I demanded to be treated at hospital, and the hospital met my needs and were so helpful! I'm no longer a patient at the office, and should have done it sooner. Any other endo has to be better than this office.
Dr. Rudgear is one of the most caring docs I've ever met. Highly recommend her if you are looking for an endocrinologist in the valley.
This office is very difficult to worknwith and very money driven....doctor is inaccessible and requires an appointment for every question or concern. She requires excessive lab tests, and in general the office is not helpful or friendly.
After a horrible experience with my previous endo, Dr. Rudgear and her staff have helped me regain my faith in modern medicine. I feel like myelf again. Thank you guys
Everyone is very professional. I never feel rushed and questions always answered so I can understand. My provider was Marty and she noticed a lump on my neck I didnt know I had and now Kimberly is my new provider and she has been so thorough and I feel like she has been my provider from the start. Thank you for taking great care of me.
I have been a patient of Dr.Rudgear for over 6 year and I have referred many friends to her as well. She is a very special person. I hope she never retires because I would miss the relationship with her. I read those negative comments and I truly believe there is something else there and those people should be ashamed of themselves. She is my favorite Doctor.
not accurate billing...takes 5 days to get back to Walgreens for refill...higher office rates for a less than 5 minute in office visit..only can see a PA...Dr Rudgear is never available to see
I have been a patient here since 2008. I found the doc to be insincere, genuinely unconcerned and full of herself. Further her office practices confirm she is in the business vs trying to treat her patients 100% I do not appreciate her fake attempt at dressing up in a white coat and pretending to have a pleasant bed side manner. The office staff are rude and uncooperative. Office is definitely trying to be a med spa vs. providing any type of medical services.
I have been a pt at this office 2.5 years and have broken in 3 nurse practioners. I have seen this MD ONCE very briefly. Tests done IN her office cost WAY more money than going to outside labs or US clinics. I feel like the staff are undertrained and poor listeners. Return phone calls-ha don't expect that. Turnover rate is faster than you can blink. The kicker for me was the response to my complaint of "I feel like I did before I was diagnosed" was "welcome to your fourties..." NOT ACCEPTABLE! I know my body and the signals being sent. DO NOT GO HERE!
I went to this doctor for two years. And other than the first visit, I only saw the doctor once. After that it was always only the nurse practitioner. But I was still being paid for seeing an endocrinologist. But the worst part is that I was disrespected and belittled. My symptoms were ignored which lead to my labwork being outside of the normal range. They asked how I felt and then when I told them they were not the symptoms that described my condition. Yet anyone can go on webMD and see that I was having the classic, normal symptoms for my condition. I don't even understand how this doctor can be so incompetent. I have been receiving poor care for two years. Now that I'm seeing a competent doctor I am finding out just how poor my care was. My new doctor says my condition is far too complicated for someone who has not received the advanced training of an endocrinologist and a nurse practitioner could never provide adequate care. This matches my experience perfectly. I did not receive adequate care at Dr. Rudgear's office. Now that I have a competent doctor I am feeling much better. Please do not see this doc.
Dr. Rudgear is a great physician. She is very responsible and sincerely worry about her patients.
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos and my doctors tried to help but i never really felt listened too or that someone at least try to understand where I am coming from. At Dr. Rudgears office it's like night and day experience. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING > the thing i explained myself once because they take notes and REALLY try to help you to get where YOU feel good not where a number tells you you are supposed to be there. And they always look for the big picture and help you to adjust one issue at a time and celebrate the success with you! I love it here and so do friends who where on the search for the right doctor too :-) we all found our docs at the Center! Thanks for a new life!
Great physician. The other comments are just plain rude and not true.
I feel her office is more focused on being a medi-spa then an actual doctors office. I have actually only met with her once, all other visits have been with a nurse. It is a real let down when you have a doctors who just don't take the time time with their patients anymore. I feel this has become the norm, I have yet to find a GOOD doctor in this field in AZ. I also find that doctors seem to consistently over book their appointments and are always running behind. The medical field is in a sad state of affairs these days. It becomes very frustrating when you are dealing with health issues that already make your life difficult and then you have the up hill battle of a poorly run doctors office.
