I just got home from having a cataract removed at Prisma Palmetto and I highly recommend Dr. Kanitkar and thankful I chose him . I would like to thank Dr. Kanitkar and his wonderful staff.

Truly excellent eye doc, myself being a retired medical professional I can honestly say Dr K is one of the best !!!!! Plus, he has a great office staff !!!!!

Missed bleeding retina. Needed to go to WalMart for correct daignosis

Very good surgeon. He did a partial corneal transplant and I have had great results with no pain.

Dr. Kanitkar is personable, respectful, not hurried. My only uneasiness is that I allowed a procedure that may have some lasting negative effects, and I did so without getting a second opinion. I had no symptoms, only the doctor's word that I needed the procedure.

Was more impressed with Dr. Kanitkar than I have been with ANY doctor in a very long time. Highly recommend.

Minimum wait of 1 hour past appointment time, hard to get out of the office under 2 hours because they severely overbook. Never apologizes for his tardiness.Promises to look into things and get back to you, but never follows through with his promises. Tends to treat patients like they are not a partner with him in their health, it is his way or no way. Prescribes medication without regard or consideration of the cost to the patient even with good insurance- multiple non preferred brand drugs with high copays when there are more reasonable alternatives.
