Uncaring doctor who does malpractice. Went for a check up and she stayed less than 5 minutes without doing an thorough examination of marks on my skin I went to check. She adds unnecessary diagnosis and very disrespectful in doing things on her job. She acts like your concerns are not much of a big deal and they are just marks. No Biopsy done, had to see another doctor. Be very careful of this doctor.

DR.BEST IS THE BEST SKIN DOCTOR AROUND,I WOULD GO TO HER AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT,SHE CARES AND SHE LISTENS TO YOU AND EXPLAINS TO YOU WHAT IS NEEDED.I AGREE THAT THERE ARE NOT PERFECT DOCTORS ANY WHERE,AND I HAD MY SHARE,BUT I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH HER,I WENT TO HER 3 TIMES AND EACH TIME SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY TO COMPLETE THE PROBLEMS,BEFORE HER,THERE WAS NOT ONE WHO WOULD TREAT ME ,AND THERE WAS ALWAYS SOME EXCUSE,IF YOU CANNOT GET THE TREATMENT YOU WANT,I WOULD GO TO SOMEONE ELSE.BUT AS FAR AS I'M CONCERN,I GAVE HER 5 STAR,AS FAR AS THE DESK CLERKS,THEY NEED TO UNDERSTAND,THAT ITS A TIME IN PLACE TO USE YOUR CELL PHONE FOR PERSONAL LANGUAGE IN A OFFICE SITTING.DR.BEST IS THE BEST.COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY,MIRACLE WORKER SHE NOT,BUT CLOSE, AS A DOCTOR,SHE SURE DID A GREAT JOB ON ME.

Absolutely terrible. This was my second visit and I'm not sure why I came back after the first but I'm not one to complain and I know that things happen. At my first visit I didn't see the doctor until over an hour after my scheduled appointment time. The receptionists were extremely unprofessional, gossiping and talking poorly about another employee rather then helping her out. One of the womens cell phone rang (very loudly) and she answered it sitting there in front of patients. All of which was very off putting but I chucked it up to just being an off day and figured I would plan extra time for my next visit just in case. Needless to say, the medication that the doctor put me on did nothing for my problem so after a few months I made another appointment. When I called I informed the woman on the phone that I had new insurance and she verified that they accepted it and said to be sure to bring the card with me to my visit. However, when I arrived at the office this morning and… checked in the woman at the front desk informed me that they are not accepting my insurance at this time and I could either self pay or not be seen. When I asked why I was not informed the only answer she had was that she didn't know. I asked to speak to the office manager who had just about the same response and stated that if they saw me today they would not be paid for the visit. I explained to her that I took off of work to come to this appointment so therefore I am now not getting paid and not getting seen because they did not correctly do there job. On top of it all I am coming back because the medicine the doctor put me on at my last appointment had zero effect. On top of all if this the office is run down, very outdated, and dingy. I will not ever be returning and would not recommend this practice to anyone!

Thanks for missing the basel cell carcinoma on my face! All she did was burn off the spot and never had any test ran.

Please take this Vitals website seriously as I see that I should have. It would have definitely saved me a lot of time, money, and agony. I initially went to Dr. Best because she was an African American Dermatologist who specialized in AfAm Skin issues, so I found her to initially be receptive. However, I found that when the medicines prescribed were not working and that I would ask about other medicines and methods of treatment that should provide me with short responses and act extremely defensive when I asked follow-up questions to her less than helpful responses. Her bedside manner is vacant and she doesn't seem to care about patient concerns at all. I had an appointment 3 weeks ago and have left 3 voicemail messages within that time about a medicine that was prescribed and have not received a phone call back. I called today and it looks like the voicemail box is full "Go Figure!". Please do not support this woman or her practice.

Dr. Worst is an unprofessional nightmare. She regularly cancels appointments without any notice. If your Friday afternoon appointment doesnâ??t fit with her social life, you better believe she will be calling you on Friday morning telling you she had to reschedule because of an â??emergency.â?? Depending on her mood swings, she may even refuse to see you if youâ??re sitting in her lobby. For some reason, she seems to be under the impression that she is the only dermatologist in Maryland (honey, youâ??re not even the only dermatologist in your building). Only see Dr. Worst if you have no respect for yourself and your time.

Today I had an unacceptable experience in the Greenbelt office. Dr. Best's new billing practice of holding patients hostage over signing rights that allow unapproved charges on their credit cards is BAD Medicine and has caused HARM. After scheduling an appointment for today, getting to the office and paying my co-pay, I was advised there was a new billing policy and that I had to sign a letter that allow Best Dermatology to at their discretion charge my card for any unpaid insurance balances. When I expressed my concern over such a document Dr. Best refused to honor my appointment despite having already collected my co-pay. She was rude and hostile and walked out on me in mid discussion. I was shocked at such UNPROFESSIONAL behavior. Had I been made aware of this new policy when I booked the appointment I would have had the opportunity to determine if I wanted to sign or not and what the choices of my decision would mean. It is unacceptable that I drove almost 30 miles, paid my… co-pay and then was refused service. This is truly unethical and BAD MEDICINE. There should have been an upfront disclosure upon making the appointment that new or existing customers will not be seen unless you sign the credit card form allowing any unpaid insurance balances to be charged without prior notification to the patient. Please note I've never owed this doctors office a balance of any kind.

I was in a couple weeks ago and recently had a question. So I called the office and talked to the â??receptionistâ??. Which I knew it was Dr. Best because I recognized her voice from the actual receptionist who is much nicer and perky. But anyway, I asked Dr. Best a question that only needed a quick answer. So instead of answering it, Dr. Best told me I had to make an appointment. I said I wasn't going to do that. Why do I need to make an appointment to ask a question, and also would have to pay another copay. Seems to me Dr. Best doesn't really care about her patients unless sheâ??s getting paid. I understand sheâ??s running a business, but come on I just asked a simple question.

Would never ever go again.....
