Dr. Lance M Tigyer, MD

Dr.Tigyer is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. He listened to my concerns and gave me options for treatment. He did not push surgery and allowed me time to think about big decisions. I ultimately had surgery and now I am able to work out again and do activities with my grandkids.

Unable to a set an appointment time until the day prior of surgery is beyond the pale and completely disrespectful to the family of patients who require assistance getting there. People have lives and the world doesn't revolve around you doc. Would travel anywhere in the tristate before dealing with this unreasonable practice.

Great results with both surgeries. Neck and lower back. Listens to symptoms willing to work with you to develop plan of care. Pleasant, caring. Office staff usually responds in timely manner.

Went to have shots done in l5-s1 joint. The staff sucked. Took forever and was rude. Scheduled back surgery. The day of surgery my family and myself heard him say it would take 4 hours. When I woke up I asked my wife how long I was back there. She said 45 minutes. Then come to find out I had no plates or rods which I was old would be there. Every checkup appointment he showed me someone else's xray. 5 years later it's worse and no plates and it didn't fuse together. In my opinion he is the worst doctor and should not be allowed to have his license. Oh yeah I have been seeing a new surgeon and I have nerve damage on my left side. I can't feel pain from my collar bone to my toes. He said that dr. Tiger cut my nerves when doing my surgery since he was in such a hurry. I would not nor never recommend him to my worse enemies. We are currently seeking legal damages.

While it says surgeon we found if it comes down to a case where injections do not work there is a lot of acting ignorant to next steps, offering px for pain meds, and meaning you are alone to figure it out and find an actual surgeon. The best description is a chop shop that runs patients in and out for injections efficiently but do not expect any doctor advice if those injections do not ease the pain.

My mother was patient not me. Started with the back injections his assistant gave that did not help. My Mother had to have lower back surgery he sent her to place he was investor in that really wasnt equipped for anything more than an overnight stay. She ended up with an infection he did not seem to care. He had to go back in and scrape the wound. Only reson he cared then he found out that my brother was his friend. Anyway my dad ending up firing him. She never got over the infection.

His bedside manor is mediocre at best because he rushes you. He doesn't review images in the room WITH you. He and his staff don't get in a hurry over ANYTHING...except rushing out of your room.

He put rods and screws in my lower back. The real trick with back surgery is to do exactly what the doctor and your physical therapist tells you to do right after surgery. Even if you feel good don't overdo it. After 8 to 12 months I could do whatever I wanted within reason. No pain in my back or legs anymore.

The staff seems friendly but you will fight tooth and nail to get them to do anything for you. If you have paper work you need filled out it will not be ready when they say. I know several people, including myself, who got a bone infection from surgery and he dos not seem to care.

Was scheduled to have epidural shots done by Dr. Tigyer but instead got one of his assistants. I was told there were 4 Doctors working the day I received my shots so I'm guessing you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting Dr. Tigyer. Needless to say my shots didn't give me the least bit of relief. Not sure what to do now!
