Dr. Laura Klein, MD

Dr. Klein performed surgery and I had to peak to see if she did anything when I woke up. I never had any pain or discomfort. I didn't even take any pain medication. Even the anesthesiologist she uses was great. Once, I woke up, I didn't even feel groggy. Dr. Klein really wants you to get the best result possible. She makes sure she is not only removing the cancer but also that your breast looks the best it can afterward. She tries to get the best scarring result and does plastics to avoid getting dimples where the breast tissue was removed. Even the binder you have to wear after surgery is pretty so you don't feel like you just came out of surgery. I felt that I was informed through the entire process and that Dr. Klein treats the whole patient. You receive a free massage to help deal with stress and you get a meeting with her dietician. She also sends you to meet with doctors post-surgery so you can make an informed decision for further treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Klein.

Defensive when asked about lumps post-mastectomy. Such odd, unprofessional behavior. If you need a doctor that treats the whole patients and addresses patient concerns than find another doctor .

VERY DISORGANIZED PROGRAM. I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS BUT FEEL IT NECESSARY SO OTHERS OUT THERE DO NOT GO TO VALLEYS BREAST CENTER. I HAVE SO MANY PARTS TO MY STORY WITH THEM I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THIE BRIEF SO EVERYONE WILL READ IT. I AM IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AND WILL TELL YOU DO NOT GO TO VALLEY. THEY WERE DISORGANIZED, MISDIAGNOSED ME, (AS PER MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING AND NYP CORNELL WEIL, UNTRAINED, NON-MEDICAL PERSONELL TELLING ME WRONG RESULTS SO I THINK ALL WAS FINE WHEN IT WAS ABSOLUTLY NOT, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND IN MY MEDICAL OPINION COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT, AND UNSAFE. PLEASE TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU MY EXPERIENCE WAS OUTRIGHT DANGEROUS AND WHEN I AM FINISHED WITH TREATMENT IN NY I WILL PLAN TO GET MY STORY OUT SO WOMEN CAN HAVE THE RIGHT DIAGNOSIS AND CARE.

My breast surgeon left her practice and I had to find a new surgeon .With trepidation I went to Dr Klein .I wish I would have known how compassionate she is I would have had alot less stress.Dr Klein is an amazing surgeon and is always there when you call her.If you are in need of her expertise DO NOT hesitate.

Being diagnosed with cancer, any cancer, is not only terrifying but can also be like learning a foreign language. Dr. klein clearly explained everything and what the next steps should be to "recovery". Take her advise....she is extremely knowledgable and is a perfectionist in her field. Kind and compassionate too. There isn't a better doctor out there!

I had breast surgery, to remove a benign fibroid, with Dr. Klein a couple years back and I have never met a more compassionate doctor. She spent almost an hour with me discussing my medical needs and my concerns. As compassionate as she was in the office she was even more professional when it came time for my surgery. I felt extremely comfortable and felt I was in very good hands. Two years later you can not even see my scar. It looks like I will need another surgery soon and will be going back to Dr. Klein. I highly recommend her.
