Dr. Laura Marie Nasatir, MD

Dr. Nasatir was very knowledgeable in identifying and diagnosing challenges with my children. She is extremely knowledgeable and keeps up w/ current data and studies. She has made an incredible difference in our family life as well as a significant improvement in my children’s grades. I would highly recommend being seen and treated by Dr. Nasatir

Because of numerous family moves and insurance changes, I've had more psychiatrists than I care to count, but that range of experience gives me a realistic view of what a person should expect from a psychiatrist. Nasatir is one of the most competent, conscientious psychiatrists I've had. She is scrupulously honest in her interactions with me and with insurance companies, she keeps up with the current literature, and when she asks me questions, she listens to my answers. Believe me, I've had several docs who failed on all three of those aspects. It's refreshing to have someone as straightforward as Nasatir is. She emphasizes to me that I take responsibility in managing my mental health. That means eating right, getting enough exercise, maintaining good sleep habits, and taking my meds every day. Those are not always easy, but that's what it takes. If you're hoping for a doc who will just give you pills to solve your problems, go elsewhere. If you're willing to do your part to… stay healthy, she's the one to work with. I find her supportive, insightful, careful, and easy to communicate with.

Dr. Nasatir has greatly helped me deal with my anxiety and depression. When I first saw Dr. Nasatir my anxiety level was a 10/10. After three visits its somewhere around 3/10. Dr. is an extremely good listener. She put together a plan of action to treat my mental health deficiencies without over-prescribing me medicine like other psychiatrists. I feel very fortunate. I have had several psychiatrists over the past 18 years and Dr. Nasatir is hands down the best psychiatrist I have come across.

Dr. Nasatir is incredibly caring, and a fantastic diagnostician as well. She is in independent practice, and after I had been thru the mill of corporate psychiatry, she is amazingly different. She takes her time with me, gives me feedback and actually offers therapy in addition to making sure I keep up with my prescriptions. I can't recommend her highly enough. If you've tried the rest, now go try the best. I got exactly the help I needed.

Our adult son was on medications for bipolar and ADHC when he first saw Dr. Nasatir. He had seen many psychiatrists but had never been stable or happy. Within the first half hour of his first visit, Dr. Nasatir knew he was experiencing a manic episode and she corrected his meds. That was 3 years ago; since then he has been stable and happy in life. Dr. Nasatir's communication is excellent. She has always returned calls made to her office. She takes the time to talk directly with him and guides him regarding his mental and overall health. Her office staff is great-always attentive and helpful.

I have bipolar II and I'd previously been to another doctor who had misdiagnosed me and put me on anti-depressants that only made me feel worse. I went to Dr. Nasatir and within a half hour she'd correctly diagnosed me and put me on the proper medications. I can't remember the last time I was this mentally stable and happy, and it's all thanks to her. She's really good at her job. She's professional and knowledgeable. It's really easy to make appointments with her, and there's rarely any wait time at all in the office. I bring a book and don't get the chance to finish reading a paragraph. Her appointments are often short, but she gets a lot done in the time. I've had questions between appointments, and I'd call and get an answer on the next business day. She's always willing to work with you.

I spent over a year with my previous Psychiatrist to bring my Bi-Polar disorder under control. With the meds given, I was depressed and unable to enjoy life. I was referred to Dr. Nasatir and decided to change. Within an hour on the first appointment Dr. Nassitir had me pretty much figured out. She changed my medications and that started me on a path of recovery. For example Cymbalta previously helped me, but yet made my mood as angry and hostile. The Dr. informed me that with the mood stabilizers I was taking would counteract the side effects, In which it did. I still have a ways to go but I have not felt as good as I do now. I have seen Dr.Nasatir approximately four times and look forward to what else she has in her bag of tricks to male feel whole again.

I have been a patient for 2-3 years. Dr Nasitir is the only Dr that I not only felt comfortable at the start, but she has been successful in getting and keeping me stable. Actually, under her care and treatment I have gotten.better! Something I never thought possible. She and her receptionist, Sarah, are so welcoming and kind I look forward to my appts.

Terrible TERRIBLE doctor. Amazing office staff though. No bed-side manner, and quickly covered her bases when she knew she had bullied her patient to the point of a breakdown. Run as fast as you can to another office. The entire situation was explained in detail from a 3rd party to multiple other doctors, and every single one was shocked at the treatment. Clearly, you only get good help from this Dr. when she has an interest in you. Should not be working with the mentally ill. Atrocious.

Dr. Nasatir has been a wonderful physician to work with. She not only has been able to successfully diagnose my children. Her treatment has been a life changer for our family and my kids lover her. We have recommended her to several friends and they all have seem to of progressed very well with her assistance.
