Excellent doctor. Took an interest in my well being. Did a detailed exam

My son has Basal Cell Nevus Syndrome. We made an appointment with this doctor, after being told she treats this syndrome. After waiting 15 minutes or so, my son was seen by her. Her bedside manner was horrible and she basically said she would not treat my son, but that I should take him into NYC where they are more capable. Are you kidding me? Skin cancers are very common, yet this doctor had NO interest in treating or following my son. Disgraceful on so many levels. He felt terrible after leaving her....as though he was a leper. Run away screaming!

First let me begin by saying I love my doctors at MountkiscoMedical group,EXCEPT for this doctor.She seemed uncaring,did the worst full body exam.I told her I had previous basal cell carcinomas and wasn't even interested.Her bedside manner sucks and I can not wait to report this to my primary care physician.I am shocked she is with this fine group of caring doctors.I am going to another dr in the group,who has gotten rave reviews.Hope this helps,don't waste your time with this person.

I had a very ugly looking rash and itching on my skin. I called up MKMG hospital for an earliest appointment with any dermatologist. I was happy to get one with her for 2 hours later(no wonder if anyone visits her). She asked if I had been near poison ivy and if I was having a hygenic home!! She asked me to put a heat pack on the area. I explained that I may infact need an icepack as even warm shower water was causing my skin to inflame, she insisted on the heat pack. She had no clear diagnosis for my condition, did no tests. She prescribed me antibiotics saying if this does not heal go to your primary care. Its doctors like these who have ruined our health by prescribing antibiotics like candy. No way will I mess myself up with antibiotics that too without a diagnosis. It later turned out to be an allergic reaction. Dont ruin your health or waste your money by visiting this doctor.

I have had some issues with potentially cancerous moles in the past- a fact I made known to Dr. Burack- yet she barely took a glance at the moles other doctors had told me might be problematic in the future. She was very dismissive of my concerns and never followed up with me about some questions I had. I think she told me that she would call me just so she could get out of the appointment quicker.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a physician. Her exam was so superficial. It was like she was in a hurry and couldn't be bothered listening to my concerns. When I pointed out a lesion that was bothering me, she said that it was just a "plugged oil duct". It turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. Fortunately it was diagnosed by another doctor. She talked down to me, brushed off my concerns, and was totally cold and uncaring. After being diagnosed by another MD with basal cell carcinoma, I had surgery to remove it and a subsequent surgery to repair the defect on my face. Dr. Burack should consider herself lucky that I am not a litigious person! My suggestion to her would be to come down off that high horse, treat your patients with some dignity and respect, and for God's sake, listen to your patients concerns instead of brushing them off as "just nothing". A patient's concerns are very REAL to them, just as yours would be to you. Your arrogance may… really hurt someone someday! The operative part of Health Care is CARE. Try it for a change.
