Wonderful Dr. would recomend her.

dr budnik should be truck driver not physician. brutal exam - i bled and was in pain one week.terrible, insensitive, talked to pa like i was not there. disgrace to medical profession, wished i read her reviews before i drove to e set to be pulverized, brutalized and traumatized by her.

Back in 2003 I was told I needed a bladder lift and a hysterectomy. Doctor Budnick did the bladder lift while her buddy Dr Michelle Murphy did the hysterectomy. Both procedures where done at the same time. Neither doctor ever came to do a post OP visit. When it came time to be released I demanded to see a doctor. Instead a nurse was sent in to remove the packing. She literally ripped it out of me while I screamed in pain. I was told I could leave without seeing a doctor. I tried making follow up appointments with Dr Budnick. I was told that Dr Budnick would not see me as Dr Murphy was the one to send me to her, so to make them with Dr Murphy. I wound up with an infection so bad I was bleeding. It lasted over 4 months! When I went back for my 4th follow up I was told to call for my next appointment. No one ever answered the phone! I went to Dr Murphy's office to schedule one. To my amazement there was a dumpster in front of the building with all the office furniture and medical… machines in it! I also found all the patients files thrown in on top of everything. Dr Murphy had suddenly relocated out of state. Dr Budnick refused to speak to me and her office would not give me any information on how to find Dr Murphy. I got a copy of my surgery procedure and found out between the two procedures the catheter was removed from me and then the same catheter was reinserted for the next procedure. Both doctors were in the OR during both procedures, assisting one another. It took me 13 years before I would see another GYN/OB. I wish I had seen reviews like this before I ever went to either one of them.

She did not warn me before an invasive procedure, then scoffed when I said it hurt. Her 2 min consultation after the fact was unhelpful & she seemed to be annoyed with me. The wait time was very long; she then proceeded to order 5 more procedures on 5 different dates, without even explaining to me in depth why I needed them & what they entailed. I went home in pain & in tears. Needless to say, I never returned & it took me 4 years to get the nerve to go back to a doctor for my problem, which of course has gotten worse. I have now found a caring, knowledgeable, professional doctor with an equally compassionate staff, who have helped me through my issues. They did 2 of the 5 tests she wanted, but on the same day & with NO pain. They gave me a step by step analysis, course of action & prognosis. They even drew diagrams to help me understand the situation more clearly. What a difference!!!!

Not worth 1 1/2 hour wait. Dr. Budnick has absolutely no bedside manner. I am sorry I did not heed the reviews on this sight. There are so many other competent physicians in Stonybrook. Don't waste your valuable time at this office.

She's thorough. HOWEVER, it's one thing to be thorough but to be thorough to a level where you can be seen as "insecure" and "unsure of yourself" is completely different! That's what part of my experience was. She'd fixate on something and fixate and fixate. In the meantime, I'm thinking 21 yrs as a doctor/surgeon, what's she insecure about, why is she so unsure of herself? BEWARE - She drops not so good to out right bad news like a bomb, without warning. No concern for you at all. She's capable of and has LIED! She knows she's the doctor, she's the one who will be believed. Accurate Diagnosis didn't come into play. Her Bedside Manner - there is none, but I couldn't give a negative rating. She should be made aware of this site, she could make positive changes to herself.

At first Dr. Budnick seemed to be the most knowledgeable doctor I've seen for my interstitial cystitis. This might be the case but after my initial appointment, the wait times got longer and longer. She tried a few meds and when they didn't work she scheduled me for weekly appointments with the nurse to inject directly into my bladder (she told me it was covered by insurance but the bills told another story). I waited so long to see both the doctor and the nurses every time I went it was obscene. There were appointments where I waited over an hour in the examination room with no pants! The last straw was the final visit when, after an hour wait for the nurse, they told me it might be up to another half hour because they were in a meeting. I walked out. Nothing she prescribed gave me much relief and the bladder injections (which I was charged for and my phone calls went unreturned until a DEBT COLLECTOR contacted me for the money) hurt more than they helped me. Don't make the same… mistake I did - this doctor and her staff are too busy and overshedule everything!

If you want to be cared for in the manner of a factory, go here. If you want patient care, look elsewhere. She does not even feign a crap long enough to glance over your chart at your visit. She is cold, unfeeling and gives little for you. She has no answers and seems unaware of ANYTHING with your care.

At first the staff would not let me schedule an appointment with Dr. Budnick, telling me sha is a urologist, not a gyn. I had to insist that I did in fact have a referral for a urologist multiple times before they would even schedule me. After a month and a half I finally got my 10 minute appointment to explain my symptoms. After diagnosing my Interstitial cystitis she told me to go home and google it rather than explain to me what it was and how it was effecting me. She didn't seem like she gave a rats tuchus about me or my diagnosis.

After an initial visit with Dr. Budnick I was scheduled for a cystoscopy. My appt. was for 3:30. At 5:00 I noticed computers being shut down and lights turning off.When I approached the desk to ask what was going on, they response was: "Are you still here". Actually, no I'm gone...never to return!!!!!
