The first couple of visits he could barely keep his eyes open because he was falling asleep. Then, when I tried to discuss my problems, he would stare at his laptop, as if he was surfing the Internet and was oblivious to what I was trying to explain. Then, on a subsequent visit, he took my co-pay, made me wait an hour, then saw me and say, "I don't know how to help you." He charged my insurance company for the visit, when he did ABSOLUTELY nothing for me. He should lose his license at his age. He is over 80 years old. He is not up to date with medications and should NOT be giving advice and prescribing medications to patients at his age.
The front desk boy has a power trip and rude, Dr erlich makes you wait 45 mins for 2 to 5 mins and just prescribes meds and gets you out ASAP ....terrible place go anywhere but here.
I had made an appointment with dr urlich 3 weeks prior, while making a the appointment a sarcastic creature who appeared to be male talked down to me and was overall rude. After shaking it off, I proceeded to my appointment only to find the worst staff, doctor, and office manager I have ever come across in any profession. The male secretary and doctor don't help people with real problems instead they turn them away without allowing for any type of discussion. Not once raising my voice I was told continuously bantered by the small minded and narcissistic secretary. After being a patient with three other doctors for the same issue, this was by far the most neglecting staff and medical doctor I have ever came across. All be warned! Don't not go to this office.
I have never seen such an unorganized office. Was told office is 24/7 care and even during business hours I was told go to er. That was even just for a basic medication question. The incompetency of your staff is shocking. The staff gave us the wrong apt 3 times and we had cards stating each apt time that David wrote. Lost hippa forms said we never filled them out which 3 people and another patient saw us fill them out. We were treated VERY unprofessionally. The dr ordered over $4,000 of test and never told us the results or why they needed to be done to begin with. We were also told by the dr in all of his years of practice we were the third one to raise concern about his treatment of his patients. And how rude he thought we were to question anything that he has done. On 2 other occasions he dismissed patients and told them to leave only to have them leave in tears and telling everyone in the waiting room how awful the were treated. This is a poor reflection on how any psychiatrist should ever treat a patient. Being in the medical profession I will make sure I will never refer ANYONE to your office again.
I never got to see the Dr because I was asked to leave. It took about 2 weeks to get an appointment. You leave endless messages, that get no response. When you finally get a human, you get a creature named David. David must really have it out for the doctor because he starts with a nonchalant attitude. Gave me an apt and then had to reschedule because DAVID made an error. No problem. Finally get there and it was exactly what I expected. I go to the window, he directs me to take a seat with no salutation. I'm one that if you are able to dish it, you better be able to take it. David didn't like that, so he asked me to leave. I wouldn't have wanted to stay and he did do me a favor. I understand why David was so rude. I would be miserable to if I were him. I suggest you not waste your time the front office alone makes you feel unwanted and as if you were a bother. Don't wate your time people because David will make sure you know you did. Yes, I did let David know what a forlorn degenerate he was and it felt very good. I left with a smile. Thanks David you made my day.
His appointments last about two minutes. Writes a prescription and sends you home.
My daughter wouldn't go to school. After about 1 week in treatment she went to school with not problem. Got right to the problem. Were with a place for 2 years before who just said they did not know.
He does not listen, is rude and does not spend time with patients. Makes you feel like a burden.
been to 8 rehabs. 1st time I stayed clean for more than 2 or 3 weeks. They support me.
Was seen within 3 hours of my call. Felt better within 3/4 days. Can't recommend highly enough. I did wait a long time though but the talked to doctor for an hour.
I didn't have a problem with the doctor. He was actually excellent. He was very efficient. He asked all the right questions. I just had a problem with the therapist. She is extremely rude. She labels everyone as an addict and due to this, she speaks to you in a very condescending way. I just didn't find her therapy helpful at all. I left feeling more depressed and broken down after I left from seeing her. If the doctor had a more effective therapist I think I could've actually found the help that I desperately need. If anyone knows of one please advise.
We apologize that you do not feel you had a positive experience in our office. However, if you speak to one of our counselors or case managers, they are unable to label any patient with any condition. They can ask questions to get more information, but the only diagnosis comes directly from the doctor. The doctor comes to these conclusions using evaluations, psychological testing and medical history. We sincerely apologize for this miscommunication. Furthermore, we encourage all patients to voice any concerns they have about their care with us while in the office in order to provide a positive therapeutic relationship where patients are encouraged to address issues immediately. Also, any patients who bring up concerns about unease with any member of our staff is encouraged to discuss them with the staff member or, if they are uncomfortable with that resolution, are provided with a list of outside therapists, counselors and psychiatrists that they can be referred to who also work closely with our team. If we can further address these issues or questions, please feel free to call our office.
First psychiatrist to check my thyroid. Sent me to a specialist who took care of that and my depresion is gone.
Some of these reviews are total jokes. I am able to live my life because of this office and they help they gave me. They have always been there for me when I need help. They helped me get back to work when I was broke. I like them because they don't take crap I've been in the office when they have asked people to leave. They do that because they don't let people tell them what to do. I respect that. 1 lady had a tantrum in the waiting room because they toldher they don't use the addicting medication that she was on. Sorry, that makes sense to me. Maybe I'm happy here because I'm not one of those people. I'm ok with that. Anyone who did not have a good experience here didn't have a good experience because they were up to something. I have referred more than 10 people, and they all are happy and better off than when they started. Doc is friendly and crazy smart. I feel sorry to people who don't understand that this office is always there to help. This is the best office I've ever been to.
Doctor really knows his stuff. Appointments are easy to get and I rarely have to wait. He and his staff encourage you to call them if you ever have anything that you feel can't wait and they actually call back. Even in the middle of the night. He's a fantastic find.
My son has been removed from several schools because of his behavior. We were always told he had ADHD. Dr. Erlich was the first doctor to actually talk to him and not just us. He found the correct diagnosis quickly, and now he is improving every day. He was the first doctor who didn't make us feel like bad parents.
I just went for my first visit. I was having panic attacks and called. They fit me in the same day. They were really nice. The doctor asked me a lot of questions. I've never been to a psychiatrist before who actually asked me questions. My next appointment is next week. I feel better already.
I had a terrible experience. First of all I had to deal With a little budgey receptionist who was not only incompetent But very rude. After waiting for 1.5 hours I finally got to see The Dr who could barely see over his desk, and when I asked him A question he seemed very confused and his assistant had to Answer most if the questions I had. Was a very weird Experience and I caution anyone who is thinking about Going to this Dr as I left more confused then before the visit. I question whether he is actually Dr or not?
I sincerely apologize for your negative experience in our office. We must be very rigid with our requirements for all of our programs and follow the government regulations very thoroughly. It is important that we ensure that we are not putting the health and safety of our patients in danger, and that means that some patients are not good candidates for programs or medications. If you would like to call our office, we would be more than happy to discuss these issues with you further. We do, however, have to adhere 100% to medical safety guidelines provided by the DEA, and there is no way to adjust these guidelines for any patient. Please call our office if we can be of any additional service to you.
With out the help of Dr. Erlich I would never be where I am today. He is very knowledgable.
Dr. Erlich and the staff at Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare of Central FL are very friendly and quite professional as well. Always accommodating and helpful with appointments and treatment plans. They truly care about the patients and I don't feel like just a number to them. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Dr. Erlich and his staff literally saved my life. When I was at a complete loss and almost lost my family, I came into contact with Dr. Erlich. He was able to diagnose me correctly, and get me on the right medications. Along, with this I have also received therapy that has made an actual difference in my life. I was a mess when I first came to the office, and thanks to the treatment, patience, caring, kindness, I can actually function today. Dr. Erlich and his team have always gone above and beyond to help me. They are never unavailable. l have received help even on weekends. I have been able to access the staff and received the help I needed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Erlich and his team to anyone that needs help and doesn't know where to turn. Dr. Erlich and his team have definitely been a Godsend to me.
The office staff is very friendly and the the team is prompt with service. I feel very comfortable coming to the office and meeting with the doctor and therapist. I feel that I am getting the help I need and that Dr Erlich and his entire staff cares about getting me better, I would recommend this office and doctor to anyone looking for help.
They have been nothing but kind and helpful at this office. They always make time for "emergency" and last minute appoints and are always available when i need them.
After years of suffering and not seeking out assistance because of negative experiences I had had with other psychiatrists, I finally reached out and found Dr. Erlich's practice through my insurance provider. After reading wonderful reviews about the practice, I called to make my first appointment. They were able to see me immediately, but my availability did not allow for it. They were very accomodating in finding a time that worked for me. The initial visit went extremely well, Dr. Erlich understood what I was going through and for the first time I did not feel like I was beyond help. He reviewed everything that I was going through and put me on medication. The Dr. and staff stuck with me while we worked to find the right combination of medication for me. Any time I felt something was wrong, I recieved an immediate call back if I had to leave a message. After success with the medication, I decided to pursue therapy. Dr. Erlich's office is all inclusive in that there is also a therapist on staff. This made me feel even more confident in my future progress since the therapist and psychiatrist work hand in hand in my treatment. It amazes me how far I have come in such a short amount of time, and I know it is all due to the knowledged and experience of Dr. Erlich. I am truly thankful for the care I have received and would recommend them in a heartbeat if asked.
I only have positive things to mention about my psychiatrist Dr. Erlich, he is calm and was right on my diagnosis on the very first time I came to his office and still continues to be a great professional. I trust him because I was in a delicate state and I was treated with the most comforting visit. I saw results that were very important to me that affected my daily life. I am happy to have him as my doctor!
We had been struggling with our daughter's behavior and couldn't figure out what was going on. After one visit with Dr. Erlich, we finally have some answers and a game plan of how to proceed from here.
I've been seeing Dr. Erlich for a couple of months for addiction and a traumatized childhood. I was previously a patient at several other doctors, and it just seemed like I was going around in a circle that none of them could ease my pain and get me on the right track. Dr. Erlich has this way of cutting thru the unnecessary and getting to the root of the problem, which the other doctors didn't. Maybe it was because they wanted to get more money by drawing the process out longer, but he was able to get me on the right recovery plan without the extraneous tests/counseling sessions/ect. I called as a new patient, and was able to get an appointment two days later. I finally feel like the clouds that have been hovering over my life have started to lift, and I couldn't be more happy with my treatment from Dr. Erlich.
The staff at Comprehensive Behavioral Heathcare of Central Florida are very caring of their patients. They are available 24 hours a day if you need them. They are very thorough with all of their patients and look for every way to help you.
I have been coming to the "Doc" for over a year now. The staff is great, they really get to know you and make you feel that you are a part of the family. Everyone knows everyone here and they ensure that you are taken care of. I do not know where I would be now if I hadn't made the decision to pick up the phone and make an appointment. Since coming here, I feel like I am my true self and I have been able to accomplish goals that I thought I would have never been able to accomplish.
If it weren't for the very understanding support of this office, I would not be as well as I am today. I have recommended this office to many of my friends. They are top-notch and the best in the area.
I have had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Erlich outside of the office on a few occasions, and his professionalism is matched only by his "bedside manner." He puts patients at ease and you can tell he genuinely cares about each and every one of his patients. The well-being of his patients is of paramount importance to Dr. Erlich, both in and out of the office.
Staff was nice. Office is really pretty. They take my insurance. My case manager is nice. I felt better.
The only pro of this office is that I was able to get my initial appointment fairly quickly and started on medication right from the first day. Other than that, I wouldn't take my dog to this practice. The office staff is rude. I got yelled at for having my bottle of soda on the couch. They say call 24/7 but the counselor has an attitude when she calls you on the weekend. They label you as a drug seeking addict and don't care about acute pain management. The physician recommended that I be treated with a certain drug for an acute pain issue that I was having. Turns out no physician has ever heard of the drug because it is extremely uncommon to administer and hospitals don't even carry it. Good luck and way to go for all that are considering getting into treatment. But don't screw yourself or your wallet. Get help elsewhere.
I sincerely apologize for your negative experience in our office. We strive to provide the best 24 hour care for our patients. A focus of our practice is addiction, and unfortunately, we do not offer any solutions for pain management. We focus on addiction recovery. Total abstinence is the only solution we can offer. This causes a difficult situation when patients who are narcotics addicts are in pain, but we cannot advise use of any pain medication while being treated for narcotics addiction. We are more than happy to discuss this with you further, however, we are very upfront about the care we are able to offer. Unfortunately, pain management is not one of our services, and if there was a miscommunication about this, then I sincerely apologize.
Really happy. They helped me a lot. I was in a bad place. Now I'm back to work. He helped with my FMLA paperwork.
I asked Dr. Erlich for paperwork for Student Disabilities at my college so that I might get extra test time and a quiet environment (attention deficits being part of my condition) after receiving these services in past years with no problem. After claiming it was forensic paperwork and he would have to charge me $500/hr I went in with a note of clarification from the Student Disabilities office (thinking he was confused) and he pushed the paper across the desk and said to me very rudely, "I don't have time to do this paperwork...who do you think you are to demand my time and take time away from my practice...," and, "who do you think you are that you deserve special treatment?" Also, after several visits he put me on a low dose of one minor medication, took about $100 directly out of my pocket for services and literally never did anything, never changed my medicine, never listened to me when I was having such terrible anxiety and insomnia I was beginning to lose it and not function anymore. He is very, very old and is NOT functioning at full mental capacity, poor memory of previous appointments and if you have a history of any drug addiction they automatically think you are a no good, deceitful, manipulator regardless of who you truly are as a person. Very arrogant, short sighted, and unprofessional.
Dr. Ehrlich is almost 90 years old. He can barely see and appears to have difficulty hearing. He has not heard of most of the recent medications that have come out within the past couple of years. His fees are outrageous and he does not even look at you when you are talking to him. During the 30 minute I was there he was staring at his lap top the entire time looking like he was reading and responding to his e-mails. I asked him about a specific anti-depressant and he said he has never heard of it and had to look it up and he looked at me and said "it's an anti-depressant." Duh~ I had a different doctor for years but changed jobs and my insurance would not cover the other doctor, so I came to Dr. Ehrlich. I have seen many psychiatrists in my life and Dr. Ehrlich is the worst. If you are unable to see or hear properly and are not up to date with the most recent medical developments, you should not be ripping people and their insurance companies pretending to help them. Don't waste your time setting up an appointment, look some where else. VERY disappointed.
