Dr. Lawrence Samuel Fink, MD

I’m 37 years old now and I can still remember HATING to go see Dr. Fink. He was always rude and unprofessional. I have my own son now and he’s the reason I won’t even see a male doctor with him. I can still remember being so incredibly uncomfortable in his presence as a child and that’s saying a lot that I can still remember that feeling this many years later. I don’t recommend him to anyone. Something isn’t right about him. I feel it in my gut and always have.

Dr Fink always took time to listen and treat each of my symptoms with care. He gives great medical advice and compassionate care.

Dr Fink was amazing with my 4 year old. He was able to diagnose a condition that 2 other Drs missed.

I reached out to Dr Fink in 2015 when I noticed something was not quite right with my son. He was supposed to do some research for me as to finding a psychiatrist. He never got back to me. My son was later diagnosed with depression and anxiety and suffered with episodes of self harm and suicidal thoughts. I refuse to see him now and only see his partner Dr. Merker who is very thorough. He is abosolutely incompotent .

Initially I had an appointment for lets say 2pm (I can not remember - the exact time as this was a few months ago). Because of the over hour wait time & the fact that I had two children by myself - one an infant less than 12 months old the other 4 yrs, I decided to get to the office earlier by about 50 mins prior to my appointment. Thinking they would take their usual 1-1.5 hrs and then my child would actually be seen on or close to their actual appointment time. Not expecting at all that they should see me right away. Dr. Fink proceeded to see every other person that was there after us before we were seen, cleared out the entire waiting room then made us wait to be seen just because I decided to show up early. Also, EVERY other occasion that we were there the appointments were never held & the patients were being called in order of appearance (or better put in order when they signed in on the sign in sheet). Why this time that I signed in before everyone else, we waited over 2… hours to be seen & until the entire waiting room was cleared out? Mind you all of the other patients were white - so maybe they get first preference? I mentioned this to the receptionist and she quietly agreed with me that patients were seen in sign in order however, could not say anything to her boss...I proceeded to walk out & Dr. Fink followed me out and honestly, I have had more than one occasion where this has occurred there. He has no respect for a patient's/parent's time. There was one occasion I had been waiting around 2 hours for my child to be seen - empty office & waiting room (so for arguments sake he was not busy) and Dr. Fink proceeded to make us wait whilst he loudly (so we could hear him) chatted away on a personal phone call on his cell. Nothing seemed urgent in this conversation as I could clearly hear him as he was doing this on purpose to spite us & make us wait on him. After the last episode, I asked for my child's records to be sent to another Dr. and I received in the most childish response from Dr. Fink himself "well you're going to have to pay for every page" I said so be it & i'll pay a million dollars if I have to - as long as I don't have to come here again and wait for hours to be treated like trash. On another occasion I was quieting down my baby whom he'd just given immunizations - she was very afraid of being even in the same room as Dr. Fink so to calm her down I had to stand in the doorway with her whilst he gave immunizations to my 4 yr old. Dr. Fink asked for me to stand right next to him for my son - who was fine on his own, baby starts screaming again & Dr. Fink proceeds with my son completely bumps into me pretty much pushing me out of the way. I honestly felt like asking what was the point of me being in the room for him to push me to the side? Did he get his cheap thrill for the day? After all was said and done I received a comment from Dr. Fink - "are you a school teacher or something is that how come you get out of work so early?" A) my profession is none of his business B) Little does this man know I am a government employee that could have his whole operation shut down in a matter of seconds. C) What does my profession have to do with anything? This man is immature, unprofessional, and most of all money is his only motive. The condition of the office is run down & unsanitary. Avoid him like the plague.

I went to this office with my son for a school physical as a paying/ private patient. I had already gotten an estimate of what my bill would be. The government has a special program for children's vaccines at an affordable price some of the vaccines free of charge. Dr Fink is enrolled in this program. He looked my son over scribbled on his school papers for the physical and charged me an extra $70.00 when I told him that the girls up front alerted me to the government low cost vaccine program His words to me were " yes the gvt pays me for the vaccines that your son is getting being a paying patient, but you have to pay me SOMETHING! I asked my sons records to be transferred to his new pediatrician they charged me $1.50 to send each of 10 pages but they were never sent. His new pediatrician had to call to have my son's vaccination record faxed and it had already been more than a month since I had paid and requested my sons records to be transferred I had signed a release form too Once… my son needed a referral while we had insurance and all he said was tell them to call me if they wanna talk to me when he was supposed to give me a proper dated signed referral to the specialist. My son had a rash and he looked and said might be fungus put his shirt down and sent us out He was done no prescription or anything and one day in a rush he overlooked my son's urinalysis report when I asked for a copy which of course I had to pay for I saw that there was an alert from the lab and I went back to show him his excuse was that the lab changed the way they code things so he didn't realize my son need medication . He's greedy and Incompetent take your kids elsewhere

I have been going to Dr Fink with my four children the past 24 years. Dr Fink is an excellent doctor exceptional with children. Sometimes we have to to wait as Dr Fink is thorough in his exam and in explaining the condition to parents. As we are all patients in the waiting room - we have to be patient and understand Dr Fink is doing the BEST for all his patients. If anyone is looking for a great pediatrician I would recommend Dr Fink 100%.

Takes time to diagnose patient - Takes time to explain the condition and medications if required - is very personable - is very caring and patient to/with patients - Dr Fink is a great doctor.

Fabulous, caring doctor. Doesn't force his beliefs on parents; rather, will work with us to plan our daughter's care. Follows up with us even if minor illness. We've recommended him to friends, who have switched to him and all are happy.
