was not truthful of my progress after catarac sugery done by an associate and as a result caused another surgery from another surgeon to save my eyesight a fine christian but not very professional. THANKS DOC

A pair of reading glasses will cost you $500 before it is all done. and the office visit is over $100 go else where and save a ton of money.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gipson for 8 years and have always trusted him and found he and his staff to be very courteous. I feel I am in good hands under his care. His office on the South Side is convenient to get to and I always make a day of browsing in the neighborhood after my appointment.

My husband and I have been a patient of Dr. Gipson for 25 plus years. I also took my daughter there and now my grandson has grown up from age 3 to 21 (now) as a patient. His office is professional, he is great, knowledgeable and I recommended him to my 3 sisters, and they were grateful--said he's the best opthamologist they have ever been to and he performs tests they've never had.

Dr. Gipson is thorough and helpful. His office staff is friendly and organized, and they always help me with anything I need.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Gipson. I would not trust any other Dr with my vision

when he waked in the room he never acknowledged me like most doctors would do by saying hello he sat in front of me to examined my eye and when i very nicely said to him the issue was in the other eye he abruptly pulled away from me and said very arrogantly "I think I know what eye you are having issues with and didn't the nurse tell you we examine both eyes" I was so thrown back by his attitude that I honestly was about to just get up and walk away. If I wasn't so concerned about the floaters in my eye I would have. I cancelled my follow up appt and will never go back to him again!!!

this was the most horrible experience I have had with a doctor in years. He misdiagnosed my condition (when I told him what my previous opthalmologist diagnosed me with, he disagreed and said there is no condition as such; the funny part is, I am also in medicine so I knew what I was talking about and I also reconfirmed the diagnosis with a third opinion). He was rude, kept interrupting me, he was in a bad mood for some reason as soon as he walked into the room; he was even mistreating his staff in front of me (yelling at them). But once he found out what I do for a living and where I work his attitude completely changed and he was super friendly afterwards. I don't like writing bad reviews for people in my profession but my experience was bad enough to force me to write this review.

This doctor wanted to perform a laser procedure on a non-existent retinal tear. After leaving the Eye and Ear hospital where he had me meet him, I went and got a 2nd opinion which completely refuted the advice that Dr Gipson gave as to having the laser procedure.
