Dr. Leah Frances Adams, MD

Went to see Dr. Adams back when she started her practice and her mother was working there. I obviously had an infection on my forehead and was given a script for an ointment which didn’t work. I called the office several times and her mother kept putting me off as my forehead swelled and turned red. Through research I knew it was cellulitis. I called again and was put on hold by mother. She came back on phone finally and told me the dr. couldn’t help me any further and she hung up on me. I went to an urgent care and the diagnosis indeed was cellulitis. I was put on a high dose of antibiotics because it had at that point been days. Worst dr ever. The office was not clean and she had a parrot in the waiting room whose cage was also very dirty. ~Karen Schnabel Barrington, RI.

I cant believe this place. Lets talk about how dirty and unprofessional the office is first. I went for a physical, theres stains on the room seats, dust piled on the jars of cotton swabs, stains on the floors. The trash looked like it hadnt been changed in a week. When the doctor finally came in to see me, it was the most quick look over I've ever had. There were no questions asked about concerns I had, it was all about her. Then when I asked to use the restroom, the receptionist and the doctor both had me walk through the receptionist area, where everyones files and information is, to get to the restroom. Not around the office, like someone should have sent me. When I had to call back to get lab results, I was told my results BY THE RECEPTIONIST. When I asked if I could speak to the doctor to get some more explanation on the results, I was told that the doctor doesn't speak to patients - I'd have to schedule an appointment to come back. Which is absolutely ridiculous to me. I… cant get a medical explanation on my results? But have to hear about it from a receptionist? Don't ever see this doctor, I should have read her reviews prior to going.

Dr Adams she’s the best doctor I ever been to she takes her time to talk to you to understand you and what’s going on with you I absolutely love her .

I switched to Dr. Adams after learning I had Celiac Disease. I was EXTREMELY unhappy at my previous doctor's office. Best decision. Not only is Dr. Adams extremely knowledgeable and through, she is very caring. The wait has been long a few times, but she has NEVER rushed my visits and answers every question (and I ask many) until I understand. I'm willing to wait for this kind of attention. Her staff has also always been kind and very helpful. I recommend her to everyone, especially those with Celiac Disease.

Wow! I was a patient of Dr. Adams years ago and I had a very bad experience. I was curious whether or not things had improved since I left. Reading these reviews I realize the circus is still in town...led by the chief clown, her husband, Tom. Long waits, rude staff, doctor with blinders on except when it comes to billing practices. Run, don’t walk, from this “practice.”

I was incorrectly billed by this office. When I called to address the issue, wanna-be MR. Dr Adams, was rude and belittling. Ultimately realizing he was in the wrong, said the bill was erased as it was preventative care. Then bills me again. Guess what, 5 phone calls later and MR. Doctor Adams can't be reached, he's not working today, he just left.... Apparently we are flagged in power hungry Dr Adam's system. My son was denied care TWICE since this incident. UNETHICAL??? I'd say so. Time to file a complaint with the State Medical Board. I'd be remiss if I neglected to mention the manipulative liars posing as useful office staff. If you're a new patient, they'll keep you on hold forever, waiting for another fool to pick up line as they have no desire to ask and enter your insurance data. Even better, say they're going to 'transfer' your call, then hang up. I suppose I can't blame them- attitude is the reflection of leadership.

Worst practice ever. Staff told me to go buy drugs off the street. When I tried to explain my grievance to the doctor she screamed at me and threatened me. Do YOURSELF A FAVOR FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR...and not off the street like her practice suggested!

It is unfortunate that Dr Adams allows her staff, to include her RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, husband, to run her office as poorly as they...and they ABSOLUTELY DO run the office SO POORLY - completely dysfunctional environment. I have been witness to office staff arguments, involving the doctors husband, who is the office manager - SO UNPROFESSIONAL. The practice is a nightmare, the wait time (phone and office waiting room, AND exam room) is totally unacceptable - HOURS long, no exaggeration. I would never recommend this doctor. Find another doctor, don't waste your time.

My mother was a patient of hers for a while. I remember her saying that her staff was absolutely incompetent and took forever to do simple tasks ... my father, rightfully so, was aggravated by this and often implored them to do their job and do it properly, which eventually angered the doctor herself ... so in retaliation she dropped my mother as a patient. We're now asking to receive my mother's medical records so that they can be given to her new, much better doctor ... she sent them letters for the request instead. This is ridiculous. Do not bother with this woman or her staff, (whom I've heard are in fact her family members, which frankly doesn't surprise me) she is an awful, true S.O.B
