Dr dismissed our claims, didn't want to hear us out, and we felt rushed out.
Went to this doctor for issues with my son's hearing. The doctor spent 5 seconds looking at my three year old son's ears and was rude, dismissing, and condescending regarding our concerns. When I asked what surgery for tubes would entail, he told me "I'll tell you about that when you need to know about that." My son was complaining about his ears hurting and failed the audiologist tests for both ears. The doc declared he didn't have an ear infection and left. My son was up all night crying, brought him to the pediatrician this morning who immediately diagnosed my son with an ear infection. She referred me to a different ENT. My experience with Dr. Yin had to be my worst experience with a physician to date.
We were referred by a well know specialist to Dr. Gonzalez and that is who I asked for when I called to schedule. Appointment was same day which was awesome. But when the doctor came into the room it was Dr. Yin...not Gonzalez. As soon as he came in the room, he quickly read through the ER report and before examining or asking questions about what has lead us up to the visit, told us that "I can tell you right now that you do not need to see ENT rather a neurologist". I dont understand how a quick brush look into the ear can reveal no fluid when the day prior the ER doc saw fluid in both ears...and a week prior to that the urgent care doctor also noted fluid in both ears. Then to not even have the doctor ask about his sinus pressure when he said his face under his eyes have been tender and inflamed and he has feelings of getting dizzy or feeling the pressure is causing him to almost pass out. He jumps right on the dizziness/vertigo the ER Doctor mentions in the report...spending ten minutes showing us info on web md about vertigo opposed to dizziness and that it would not be related to his sinuses rather something in his head/brain. Then to tell us we need a ct of the head but he couldn't or wouldn't order it as he wouldn't be the one to follow-up with it. I have been in a specialist medical field and when you see a patient who may have something just out of your realm, but should probably do a complete work-up just to make sure your not missing something you should treat, you order the test and refer out at after you rule out it is outside your specialty. But to end the visit by saying that once the neurological issue is figured out he would be happy to see us back for any sinus issues we might have was just the cherry on top. The doctor came accross very arrogant and dismissive. Horrible experience with the Doctor personally. Staff was great though.
I had a very good experience with Dr. Yin and his courteous, helpful office staff. They were wonderful with my one-year-old baby. We were able to set our appointments in a timely manner, we did not have to wait long in the office, and they were thorough and efficient. I would strongly recommend Dr. Yin and his team.
I had the best experience ever with Dr Yin. After years of suffering with sinus issues, he has made a tremendous difference.
Dr. Yin and his staff are the real deal. It was obvious that his staff knew what they were doing, but never made me feel rushed or routine. Dr. Yin was precise and very knowledgeable, and helped me out a great deal, fantastic experience!
Dr. Yin was the only doctor that could help me when I developed a paralyzed vocal cord.... He was efficient, great staff, wonderful hospital and the best part....he fixed so I could talk again! I had visited other doctors, had tests, etc.etc. for 5 months....and then went to Dr. Yin..and bingo....he not only fixed my vocal cord but explained the procedure and shared all the next steps. Great doctor!
Do not see this doctor. He spent most of his time filling out the office visit on his computer...yes with two fingers (can't type) He lied on the report. We got a copy because we didn't understand what he had said about my wife's ear issue. He did a very poor exam. it was all about typing and getting us out of the room.
Terrific doctor. Cant say enough good things about him. Recommend him highly
Hi, Dr Yin was excellent. Within minutes of my firt visit Dr Yin told me what was wrong & how we were going to fix it. I have never been able to breathe through my nose but since my operation I can breathe & inhale through the nose. I am so happy with the results & would highly recommend Dr Yin & his staff.
I found Dr. Yin to be very caring and thorough in my diagnosis and in preparing for my surgery. All went well after my sinus surgery and he even called me at home later that evening to find out how I was doing!
Dr Yin has gone above and beyond in caring for my son. My son needed a surgical procedure to fix his hearing. On the morning of the surgery, my 3 year old and I arrived at the hospital (fasting of course) and the hospital had no records of us being on any schedule. I called the office and spoke with the on call service. Within 5 minutes Dr Yin was personally calling me back. No sooner had he arrived, he was on the phone and talking with the surgical staff and scheduling finding a way to get us in that morning. I feel that any other doctor would have quickly thrown in the towel and said "sorry we will have to reschedule". However, Dr Yin was NOT going to turn away a fasting 3 year old. I witnessed him on the phone, running up to the OR and calling in favors to align everything and make sure my sons surgery was performed, not jus that day but that morning. He did all of this and more, by being kind, professional and courteous to me and my children, and of course being a fantastic physician!
This is hands down the worst doctor I have ever been to. Went in with a concern of a resistant strain of strep throat. He did NOT listen to a word I had to say. He scoffed at my concerns, and dismissed all of my symptoms. He did not ask any questions that wre of any use, and stayed in the room a whopping two minutes. I have been to my fair share of bad doctors, but he is awful. I honestly would not send my worst enemy to him. I would have been better off throwing the money I used for my copayment out the window!! If you are considering this doctor, do not waste your time, money, or sanity. He is downright RUDE!!
I went in with a vertigo concern and all he did was tell me that they don't treat that in his office an refer me someone else that has the same title after his name. Didn't go over the results of my hearing test and didn't have time to listen to my concerns at all. What a complete waste of time!
Went to Dr. YIN because of a lingering cough. By just reading my answers to the questionnaire I had filled out, and with no consultation with me personally, Dr. Yin diagnosed my problem as heartburn. I clearly have symptoms consistent with sinus problems. He stuck a small scope up my nosed and recommended an anti-heartburn medication. I was extremely dissatisfied with the lightening fast, off-the-cuff diagnosis but to add insult to injury they charged the scope up the nose as a surgery which increased my deductible from $35 to $150! He should have at least informed me prior to the scoping that it would be billed as a surgery - I would have said forget it.
Excellent doctor. Staff is great and very helpful. Had a deviated septum and he fixed it right up. No bruising! Dr. Yin himself follows up after surgery to make sure everything is good. He is highly reccomended!
Dr. Yin is the kind of doctor that we all wish for, but rarely find. In a "rare" moment during our follow-up appointment, my three year old son had to use the restroom and my two year old son (who was the patient)took off running out of the room and through Dr. Yin's hallway. Morified, I decided the restroom was my greatest priority at the moment, and Dr. Yin hunted down the run-away. Expecting a disapproving look from this talented and busy doctor, I was stunned to see him smiling and gently escorting my now terrified son back to the room. Dr. Yin, thank you for making us feel welcome in your presence, and for truly taking great care of one of your youngest and most "energetic" patients, and his family!
Dr. Yin and his staff made the whole tonsilectomy experience a very positive one for both myself and my daughter. My favorite thing is that after all discussions and evaluations...his closing remarks were 'What questions can I answer for you?'...and he truly waited until all of our questions/concerns were addressed. Highly recommend Dr. Yin!
I saw Dr. Yin in an effort to stop my ongoing strep throat problem. The first impression of Dr. Yin is the office staff at Valley ENT and they are always so nice and helpful. I went to the office on three separate occasions and never waited longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room as well as no longer than 5 minutes in the exam room. Dr. Yin himself is a very polite and caring individual who gives all of the facts (even if you don't like them) and worked with me to make the best decision possible. Dr. Yin did remove my tonsils, it was not fun, but that is what he told me it would be. I felt better konwing that he was there for me and called several times to make sure I was doing okay. I highly recommend Dr. Yin.
Two of my children recieved care from Dr. Yin. We were so completely satisified from start to finish. I was surprised that he called the next morning after both of our kids surgeries. That made us feel that he really cared.
Dr. Yin has seen 2 of our children and gave excellent care in both instances. One needed surgery and one did not. We were very impressed with Dr. Yin and his office staff. Highly recommended for your child!
My daughter, who is 9yrs, had her tonsils out in October. Dr Yin was great. His assistant was so helpful and always got back to me quickly. They were very nice and caring. My daughter was very comfortable with them. I highly recommend him.
I always find Dr. Yin , very pleasant to work with. He is great with children. Never have I left there with concerns abouty his diagnosis. He goes above and beyond for his patients. Will continue to use him for any child in our home. Highly recommend him to others.
Both of my little girls have had to have tubes in their ears and Dr. Yin has been so personable and caring towards them. My 3-yr. old is jealous when I don't take her with me when I take the baby for her appointments!
Dr. Yin is an awesome surgeon. We had to return the the E.R on day 9 of the surgery and Dr.Yin called me around 8:00 AM to check on my son. Never have I had a surgeon see me anytime after an appointment unless it was to release me to work. He even told me he would be at the hospital around noon to evaluate him and was actually there at 11:45. He then okay-ed us to be released. The next he called just to see how he was doing and make sure he was still doing well. Awesome surgeon and excellent with children, very gentle. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Yin as he is extremely professional, caring, and knowledgeable. He listens to my concerns as a parent and addresses them completely. My wait time is minimal. I have never felt rushed. My son needed surgery and Dr Yin coordinated with another surgeon from another hospital and specialty so we were able to have two procedures completed at once. He even followed up after surgery with a phone call to check in.Not only do I as a parent feel comfortable with his care, but my son as well. I trust Dr Yin completely and would/do recommend him to everyone.
Dr.Yin is very professional, he took the time to explain the procedures and options available. Results of my Polyp removal surgery are excellent 10 mos post op. Overall experience is excellent. Dr. Yin is my lifetime ENT doctor.
Our experience with Dr. Yin and his staff has been very positive. Dr. Yin is an excellent physician who spends time with his patients addressing all concerns and treatment options. He has taken excellent care of our 6 year old daughter who has been struggling with chronic sinus problems. Dr. Yin made every effort to work with us and to make sure we understood the plan of care. She is 100% better now after her adenoidectomy.
Dr. Yin performed a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and myringotomy with tubes on my 2 year old daughter. She was suffering from serious sleep apnea, as well as congestion, loss of hearing, etc. We were very happy with Dr. Yin. Happy enough that when her twin, at age 3, started exhibiting the same symptoms, we went to him. Again, great results. He did not jump right into surgery, and in fact chose to do only the tubes in the ears. Now, I am having serious sinus problems, and Dr. Yin is who I went to see. Dr. Yin spent lots of time with me explaining my CT scan, why I am suffering the symptoms I have, and what my options were. I did not feel rushed, nor did I leave with any questions unanswered. I felt very comfortable. I am scheduled for nasal surgery in two days, and I am sure I will receive the same great care and professionalism our family has experienced thus far.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He did not listen to a word I said to him. I was taken to another room for a hearing test and when I came back he started reviewing symptoms with me. Whose symptoms I don't know for they were not mine. Before I left the room for the hearing test he said everything in my ears looked fine and there really was no treatment he could offer for my symptoms. When I came back and he listed all these crazy symptoms I never said I had he all of a sudden offered me not one but two different medications for my "symptoms" (agin symptoms I never said I was having). After telling him I did not want the prescriptions for medications I most likely didn't need I left. WORST Dr. I've ever been to!
