Dr Lina O'brien, MD

I received a call approx 420 pm on a Tuesday by 440 Dr. O'Brien team had called me and got me in to see her the next day . She clearly and confidently explained my issue and what she wanted to do abut it. Gave me pamphlets with photos explained the surgery , recovery and what to expect . Her bedside smile confidence and personality made my entire experience ( if cancer can be pleasant ) pleasurable . Dr. O'Brien took time to visit my mother on the same floor as I when my mom was not her patient , she knew my mom would be comforted to know what is going on with her son. Its showed a level of compassion and empathy for my mother that exemplified who Dr. O'Brien is a a person not just a surgeon. As for surgery I recovered in 3 days and after the initial day of surgery feel great no pain to speak of, no big scares and my cancer from a pathological standpoint is gone. She got off of it and In so thankful for her services commitment and most of all being my surgeon .

The nicest doctor and staff I've ever encountered and I've encountered a lot. I've even been to Mayo Clinic. Dr O'Brien takes the awkwardness out of an uncomfortable doctors visit.

w I’ve had Crohn’s Disease for 17 years with numerous surgeries, hospitalizations, physicians and surgeons. Dr. O’Brien is (by far) the best physician/surgeon I’ve ever had. I now live 3 hours away from where she practices but I will continue to make the 3 hour commute if I need another surgery in the future. She’s the best colorectal surgeon you will find in the Mid West!

Dr. O'Brien is a competent, caring physician and surgeon. She has done three surgeries on me, plus colonoscopies. I wouldn't want anyone else!

She performed my colonoscopy this past April 2017 and it went so smoothly and she is nicest and best doctor. She came highly recommended by a friend that also did his surgery. Now, I know why...because she is the best of the best in the area!! I would highly recommended her!!

I have been very well satisfied with Dr. Obrien over the years with surgery and office visits. As far as wait time in the office, I do not remember; therefore it was not very long.

She was very personable and easy to understand.

This was a new patient visit. The availability of downloading the various forms that are needed during the first visit and completing them at home was a positive benefit for me. The office and nursing staff were very pleasant people to meet with. Dr. O'Brien made me feel very much at ease. After an examination she explained the recommended procedure and answered my questions. I left the office knowing that I had selected the right doctor. The appointment for the procedure was set fairly quickly after doctor allowed for a short suspension of one of my prescription medicines.

Even though it took quite a while to see Dr. O'Brien it was worth the wait. She is so smart. She is very personable and put me at ease. I highly recommend her!

Very kind, sensitive doctor for health issue that is not easiest to see a physician.
