Linda Lewallen was a Hospitalist for my step-son who has Down's Syndrome. When he refused a treatment that she recommended she requested that special staff working with him restrain him so she could treat him. When they refused to restrain my step-son Dr. Lewallen asked the nurse to make the special staff leave the hospital. I cannot understand how in this day and age this kind of treatment would even be considered.

Directly responible for my relative's death from a preventable cause. Shielded only by sovereign immunity laws in the state where she practiced. Beyond this she is rude to the extreme, uncaring, and arrogant. I suspect this is a smokescreen for her incompetence.

Lewallen was the most unprofessional, hateful person we had to deal with during my father-in-law's illness. She would not listen to the family and totally disregarded our wishes in his care. He died due to her puncturing his heart while installing a pacemaker that the family felt was not needed.
