I have recommended him to my friends. Went to see a surgeon for a problem which the other surgeon could not fix. Underwent surgery by Dr. Shashi and things are fine now. Explained things well. Likes to draw pictures. Very happy

I had a very serious, several-hour colorectal surgery at a difficult to reach spot. It was successfully performed by dr M. Shashidharan at the Bergan Mercy Hospital. Now, from perspective of several weeks, I can say only good things about my choice the surgeon and the whole team, including the post-operative care during a week-long stay/recovery in the hospital. I had an option to choose other renowned centers and colorectal surgeons, but I am very glad I stayed here in Omaha. Some of us probably do not realize how good and solid colorectal surgery specialty we are lucky to have here.

I had an excellent experience with my consultation. He made me very comfortable with his pleasing manners. I had my surgery and was home in 3 days.

I accompanied my mother as she had an appoinment to see Dr. Shashi. He had a very pleasing manner and made us very comfortable. He spent a lot of time discussing my Mom's illness and the operation. I am so glad my Mom went to see him

I DO NOT recommend these doctors unless you are extremely pain tolerant!! I had a colostomy after going septic due to diverticulitus. Keep in mind, my incision is 7" long and they had my stomach outside of me during surgery. They sent me home after a week in the hospital. Although i was in A LOT of pain, this office does not believe in narcotics for pain relievers. They gave me the lowest dose of hydrocodone.....a weeks worth and one refill ...another weeks worth and than said just use ibuprofen. I understand this drug is addicting, but i have had 12 surgeries in my life and never had a problem with addiction. I told them I have tried taking ibuprophen and it was not working good enough....they did not seem to care. I recently had my colostomy reversed and imagine that...3 weeks after surgery, they said just use ibuprophen and tylenol after I told them I am still in quite a bit of pain. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER OFFICE IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION!!! I was rushed to the hospital by ambulence… in the beginning and was just "assigned" a doctor from this office. If I could have chose myself, i would definitely NOT have chosen this one!!!
