Dr. Marc Evan Fernandez

i went to see him about a hernia he had a young girl with him who examimed me too with out my permission. I had to lay there with my genitals completely exsposed no gown or sheet. After the examination he asked if i had a vagina he also asked it I had both testicals witch he knew i had. He deliberately embarased me in front of the young girl. She was very sneaky as she never told me she would be there and I think I should have been asked. He also pushed his finger into my hernia very hard. I dont know why he acted like this as I was always polite to him. Then he billed me 358.00 dollars for the half hour visit. I am writing this to save someone going through what I went through. I lost sleep over it and still have bad dreams about it.

Everyone at the practice from the receptionist to the clinical staff is friendly, respectful, and professional. From my first telephone call to the conclusion of my appointment, I felt welcomed, yet my medical condition was never minimized. I appreciate that Dr. Fernandez has a wonderful sense of humor. It helped enormously reduce my anxiety. Dr. Fernandez explained the surgical procedure and was open to answering my questions. All post op instructions were provided. I am scheduled for a follow up visit; therefore, two areas below have been left blank.

Quality of care from Dr. Fernandez was outstanding. The atmosphere of the office was welcoming and all staff members were pleasant and accommodating.

Dr Fernandez was professional and at the same time very casual while discussing my issue. Really made me feel at ease while he was examining me.

Dr Fernandez gave us choices for the necessary procedures and carefully explained all the concerns with each choice. I felt he cared about me as a person. He took time with me and didn't rush the appointment. We discussed my life style, as well as the medical issue. Wonderful "bedside manner". In addition, the staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Dr. Fernandez has cared for me since my breast cancer experience and always takes the time to answer questions and do a thorough exam on follow-up visits. He and his office staff are pleasant and friendly as well as knowledgeable. I would and have recommended this office to others.

Dr. Fernandez is extremely professional, honest, and skilled in what he does. I met him in the ER when I was going septic from ruptured bowels. My body was in grave danger, and he saved my life. My family and I are most grateful. Dr. Fernandez takes his time with his patients, is honest, and has an excellent bedside manner. He may be direct, but it is spoken with kindness.

I have been Dr. Fernandez's patient for approximately 10 years. There is no other surgeon in Citrus County that I would go to as a patient. I highly recommend Dr. Fernandez to anyone is facing surgery. You would be in good hands.
