DAUGHTER OF ONE OF YOUR ELDERLY PATIENTS

Elderly patient 80 years old is not getting proper treatment for his age which is 80. No home health, no physical therapy no treatment of any kind for the scoliosis, minimal treatment for walking therapy after hip surgery. any therapy that has been ordered. the staff that comes in walks him for 15 minutes up the hallway and spends the rest of the time playing on the cellphone using up the time and getting paid for it. No assistance in medical care for the many falls he's taken with his age he is sitting and sleeping in one position in a lift chair only getting up during the day to use the restroom and go to the table to eat. He does not sleep in a bed because he can not get in a bed. No lift bed or reclining bed has been offered or ordered. No home health has been ordered. Dementia is starting to set in from lack of activities of daily living. He has been placed on medication that keep him sleeping most of the day., I work in the medical field this is not ethical practice. every visit is always with a nurse practioner. He has gone for the appointment only to sit for so long that leaving was the better option. So he doesn't get treated. HE STILL HAS HIS MIND FOR THE MOST PART. We held his 80th birthday party 2 weekends ago. He tried to sing. He is so out of breath he couldn't hardly sing. He choked. He's never had a chest x-ray. He is not being treated. I have gotten a referral for another physician This person needs another opinion. I hope after this rating you start being monitored. The healthcare business is not about having you name on a door or a billboard. Your actually supposed to treat patients no matter the age. He has been your patient for 3 years. at least. He is not thriving. He is declining. You might want to look up all your 80 year old patients in your system and make house calls or phone calls for follow up visits where you actually see them.

Very poor time frame responding to renewal of a prescription or answer to medical questions. Takes their time when needing a referral.
Get new staff and nurse

The staff told me it was my job to get my CT scan after dr simmons told me was was ordering it and would contact me once he received it. Called back 2 weeks later and the girl up front or his nurse told me it was my job and was very rude. Something could be seriously wrong and I could have been getting treated but now I have too look for another doctor.
