Dr. Mark Ross, MD

Avoid this doctor at all costs. I know I say this but all workman's comp insurance agencies Love this doctor. He will meet with you for 10 minutes and state you have no injury at all even though the other 4 doctors you are seeing will all vouch for the seriousness of your injury. The insurance companies pay this doctor to say whatever they want him to in my opinion. He is a fraud and should have his license taken away!!! Now we will see how he stacks up against REAL doctors in court.

Dr Ross is in my opinion the expert in the field of Physiatry. I can only assume any negative reviews are coming from a situation where the patient maybe didn’t like what they were told. I personally found him to be honest and focused on me as a whole. I would recommend Dr. Ross to anyone interested in getting stronger and healthier.

I was sent to this doctor as an independent medical examiner in a workers comp case. No matter how much you have wrong with you, this man will say that you have NOTHING wrong with you so the insurance company will not have to pay your claim. I have had this terrible experience with him myself. He is very dishonest. He also did not have the skills to give me a proper examination to understand what was wrong with me. He used a feather and straight pin so see if I had any sensory deficits in my legs but that had never been a complaint, was not my problem and had nothing to do with my diagnosis by other doctors. He did not have the manual medicine skills that most physiatrists have to tell when bones are our of alignment and then fix the condition. I would Never, ever send anyone to this dishonest doctor who lacks current training. May God help anyone under his "care" or anyone sent to him by an insurance company for evaluation. If you need a good, honest physiatrist who can diagnose… and treat musculoskeletal issues, you can call APM Spine and Sports Medicine in Norfolk. They have several excellent physiatrists there. They also have good physical therapists with manual medicine skills. There may be other good physiatrists out there but these are the ones I know. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

He is clearly on the side of workers comp because they pay him!

I was sent to see Dr. Ross by the insurance company. After getting back his report I was shocked to see that he had no problem making up facts. All the medical records spoke for themselves but Dr Ross had no problem lying and making up facts to support his theory. If you ever have to go see this Dr be warned that he is on the payroll of the insurance companies and he will lie about your conditions for the insurance companies.
