Dr. Mary Lorraine Lyons, MD

I waited for approximately a month to get into her office (which I know is no fault of hers) but during this month, and the several months previous, I tried to research my daughters skin condition. I had amassed several questions I wanted addressed as well as approximately a year's worth of details of trial and error I thought she would be able to explain why certain treatments weren't working. This women was completely dismissive and condescending. She was unwilling to answer any questions and unwilling to listen to previous treatments. She also did a quick test that she advised would take approximately 10 minutes and I was welcome to wait in the waiting room until the test was completed and I would get called back to discuss treatment options. 45 minutes later a CMA came out with a visit summary and sent me on my way with a prescription that my daughter had already tried, no questions answered and no treatment plan. Needless to say I am LIVID! I wish I could put 0 stars.

This doctor SAVED MY FACE! God bless her soul. My acne used to be so so so terrible. I went through 4 years of suffering with 4 different dermatoligists including 2 in "lake Oswego" before I got a referral to Dr. Mary Lyons. Dr Lyons finally ended the physical pain and emotional suffering I had to go through. I really can't begin to thank her enough. She is one top-notch doctor.

Dr. Lyons has treated me for over 15 yrs with multiple malignant melanoma.What a wonderful and caring person she is. I had to move to Nevada and I miss her very much. If I could have kept my Kaiser Ins. here I would have gladly traveled back to Oregon for my medical care. She is one of the best doctors I have ever had in my 70 yrs. They don't come any better.

I felt Dr. Lyons to be very impersonal. She didn't ask many questions of me and didn't ask if I had any questions. She was very unempathetic to our situation & didn't offer any guidance. I began to ask her the list of questions I had, she callously waived them and said she could use a lot of "big words" and technical terminology that wouldn't help me. I asked her specifically if she knew alot about the condition and she said "there's not a lot to know" and left it at that. I'll be looking for a more progressive, empathetic and caring doctor.
