Horrible doctor! Would advise anyone to never go to her ever !! If I could give a 0/5 that’s honestly what she deserves!!

It is so so sad that they have Dr Mary Parras caring for patients who are going through so much with their health my experience with her was so bad on my first visit and b cause of her I have to find a new place, she’s very unprofessional and have no care someone should do something b cause there’s a lot of bad reviews about her I wish I could speak to her manger about the service I received from her I left her office so sad and depressed that day because she shows no care and didn’t do anything and a few of the words she used were so unprofessional she’s really bad I would never recommend her to anyone

First time visiting Dr. Mary Parras at the 1075 Central Park Avenue medical office and I must say it will be my last. Don’t you dare be using the bathroom when the nurse calls you in and the front desk staff fail to let you know that your name was called. Nurse will accuse you of “taking too long in the bathroom” and make sure she shows you how annoyed she is through her tone of voice and general attitude. Don’t you dare say “No thank you, I don’t want a male med student present during my GYN exam” because Dr. Parras will walk into the exam room and proceed to interrogate you about it: “Why not? What’s the issue? You really don’t want a med student present? That’s a first! All the other patients have been nice so far today allowing him to be present. You know, that’s how students learn” etc., etc. I simply did not want anyone else aside from the Dr. to be present. It’s my choice and why this “professional” would question my choice is beyond me. If the med student had spent all day… with other patients “being nice and allowing him to be present” then he obviously had plenty of learning opportunities that day that didn’t have to involve me. I wasn’t going to make or break his pursuit of a medical degree. Best of luck to him. Save yourself the exasperation of coming up against the absence of bedside manner, lack of respect, and general rudeness and choose any other OB/GYN doctor and practice besides this place, unless you don’t mind the Twilight Zone experience.

Skilled wonderful physician who takes the time to explain any procedure. Very current and knowledgable and also empathetic and kind' I travel to see Dr. Parras and it is so worth it MS

Dr. Parras does not care about her patients and it is very obvious I have been dealing with severe health problems for two years to only find out once I switched my gyno that it’s because of the medication she put me on even after going to her with these complaints. To find out this could have been resolved two years ago completely baffles my mind. She’s always asking what medication you want like it’s candy. I don’t want any medication and this is why. Not to mention when I voiced my concerns about an exam she called me with the most condescending attitude. I would never recommend her ever to anyone !

Dr. Parras is absolutely the worst doctor I had ever dealt with. 3 weeks later and numerous phone calls and emails thru MYCHART and I still have not received a call from her explaining my results. After 3 weeks I spoke with a "nurse" who didnt know much. I am not comfortable with what the nurse said and looking for another gyn. Her staff is lazy and rude and they all seem to have such attitudes. What kind of doctor plays such games with a patients life? Dr Parras is horrible and should have her license taken away from her for good.

She just does NOT return phone messages. Left three messages and still waiting for a return call.

Went to Dr. Parras for the first time over a year and a half ago, I have to say I was a little turned off. We spoke about the different issues I was having, she seemed very nonchalant in her responses. I started to feel uncomfortable immediately, as I really despise doctors who don't truly show concern for their patients. Anyhow she advised me to come back to get blood work done to check my levels. Till this day I have not gotten the results of my pap or my blood test. I called the office several times asking for a call back as I wanted my results, besides having the answer to the extremely rude receptionist/appointment maker, who dared asking me the nature of my call to the Dr. and requesting details about what test I took, and what I wanted to know, I have to Blame Dr. Parras directly for not following up with her patients.

Upon first meeting Dr. Parras (although she didnâ??t seem completely â??presentâ??) I liked her. That quickly changed when my test results came in and I tried calling her to discuss results, and to advise her of reaction to a drug she prescribed. She did not return any of my calls. Dr. Parras does NOT review test results, follow-up or call patients regarding their concerns. I called her many times and each time I got a person who was ill-equipped to answer any question (yet she said she was a nurse). I made an appointment with different gynecologist and was glad I did. She read my reports and told me information from the results I desperately needed to know. She also arranged for additional testing, and gave a new prescription. She "listened and heard" me. Dr. Parras appears to have PAST her better years as a physician. Her behavior is very dangerous to patients. She does the minimum; which could be a patient's PERIL. I have had many gynecologists and she is the… WORSE one I have ever had! I would NOT recommend her.

I was seeing a HORRIBLE dr in the practice and one of the nurses referred me to Dr. Parras. What a wonderful, soothing, and calm woman. i had post partum after my son was born and she did everything in her power to ease my fears, calm my nerves, and assure me what i was going through was normal.
