Dr. Maurice Sholas, MD

Dr. Sholas was arrogant, rude, obnoxious and disrespectful throughout my child's appointment. He treated me like I was doing something wrong by bringing my 14 year old daughter to the consult with him, which was ordered by her pediatrician, to discuss why her body is constantly in pain at only 14 years old. He did not allow me to speak unless spoken to. He made my daughter feel completely intimidated and uncomfortable. And he upset me greatly because I am only doing what I believe I have a responsibility to do to seek help for my daughter. Furthermore, he disregarded a diagnosis given by the pediatrician who sent us without doing a full assessment. We will NEVER return to him. I think he is the only PMNR physician on staff at our local hospital but I will find others before I ever subject my child or myself to his arrogance again.

He contradicted himself when talking about my child's illness and when I asked him about it, he called me a racist. DON'T go to him. After googling him and the articles he's written; he's looking for a meal ticket law suit. You don't claim people are racist when you write articles about not being racist, unless you're scum.

I have to agree with the other negative reviews. I left the appt. very upset because he dismissed my concerns, acted like a know-it-all, and jumped to conclusions about what was causing my child's issues without understanding the situation or having the medical knowledge to do so, and not knowing all the facts. The abrupt way he examined my child's privates, peering in his underwear without warning, and then making a joke, was also inappropriate.

With someone that hurts his staffs feelings in front of the patients. Using foul language, harmful words. Seoneone needs to file a suit

Horrible experience. I read a good review and thought he sounded great. However he seems to lack knowledge as he did not understand my child's needs at all. I would not recommend this doctor ever. People should also beware of this Physician's past. I encourage anyone to search by name on the Internet or social media. Get to know your doctor, it may frighten you.

Arrogant fits. Maury consistently scoffed at my questions followed by not answering the question or changing the question to something totally different. Loved the staff at CHOA but Sholas sucked.

This doctor is the meanest most out of touch MD I have ever seen. He was rude to my son and would not listen to our complaints. We complained to the hospital admin and they said "sorry that's just how he is." I would NEVER go back to this doctor again.

We met with Dr. Sholas for the first time. He was arrogant, spoke over myself and my child, yelled questions at my daughter, then would not allow her to answer. He told me to "shut up" three times when I tried to ask him what he wanted to know. It is unacceptable to be yelled at by a doctor who is in a position to help your child but made her cry instead. Do NOT go to this doctor if you value the mental well being of your child.

Dr Maurce G. Sholas, is one of those people who is arrogant, ignorant, and overall somebody who should not be a doctor. My friend went to see him and he talked over her, made her cry and did not offer any medical advice. He talked down to her and he made her feel like the scum of the earth. He also treated her mother horrible. I plan on writing a letter with my friend and filing a complaint on this man. Scary to think he's a doctor.
