Dr. Maury Alan Marmor, MD

Maury Marmor calls himself a Doctor but he is not. A doctor is a person who vowed to help people!! He deserves below 0 stars. Maury Marmor refused to provide medical care to my child! My son needed to see an ophthalmologist for an eye problem so I scheduled an appointment and waited 1 month for the appointment. I get to the office with my child (whose appt it was) and my 3 year old. I fill out all the forms and provided my insurance card. Waited about 30 mins with my children in the waiting room. Once it was my son's turn, we were called by a medical assistant and she took a brief look at us and merely said "hold on". I waited about 5-10 more minutes without anyone speaking a word to me. The office manager Laurie then comes out and simply says "I'm sorry, the doctor won't be able to see your son today because you have your other child with you". I explained, I am a single mom and my son needs medical care. She said there was nothing they can do as that is the doctors policy. This… is ILLEGAL and pure DISCRIMINATION!

Best dr He was kind and patient with our son and conservative in his approach. As a surgeon he was tops . Great experience all around

I was trying to make an appointment with a doctor in Long Island Pediatric Ophthalmology but couldn't. The receptionist who picked up the phone was very rude and inconsiderate. Although I tried to explain that I am looking to find doctor's available times, she couldnot provide that information. She was impolite and discourteous and at the end she put me on hold only to hang up on me. If this is how the front desk treats people, I cannot imagine how the professionals inside the office treats their patients. It is very unfortunate that this doctor keeps receptionists like her and ends up losing business that he could have had.

Took my 8 yo to this office. Saw another doctor in practice other than Marmor and he was spectacular! He knew instantly what the diagnosis is and had a wonderful way of dealing with my son! The office is decorated lovely, dedicating everything to your child. Staff was very helpful and YES, you will be there 2 hours on your appointment BUT the office WILL tell you that right upfront when you book your appointment. We were there a total of 1:58 minutes. Very pleased with this doctors office.

This place is like a puppy mill. I waited over an hour and a half with my 3 year old daughter for her to be looked at and finally left because we couldn't wait any longer. They book 10 patience in one time slot. Be ready to wait all day and be charged for everything!!!!! Went to new doctor and my daughter needed the patch for her eye. The new doctor gave us 20 patches for free and never asked for a dime. This guy has a vending machine in the waiting room with the patches in it to charge you .... that is not a joke!!!! You will be severely disappointed if you go here.

My daughter had a stye for over 2 weeks that developed into pink eye. Her regular pediatrician wanted her to see a eye doctor right away. She gets them alot. The fastest they said they could get her in was 2 weeks away!! I explained that her pediatrician thought it was urgent she get checked out. They thought her problem wasn't important enough. I called Village Eye Care and they saw her that same morning!! I will never go back here again!!

Years ago, Dr. Marmor treated my daughter for amblyopia and strabismus. The care we received from Dr. Marmor was kind, compassionate and excellent. He performed expert surgery on her weak muscle, and she recovered quickly. We were so thankful for such a top notch doctor during such an emotional time for us and our daughter. I could not recommend him more highly!
