Dr. Maya Kun, DO

Referred by my child's school. Excellent clinician.

I had my first appointment with her today over teleconference. She never called, never contacted me and left me high and dry. Had to call the Ryan center twice in the 2 1/2 hours I waited for a call. Very unprofessional. Ryan center asked if I wanted another appointment after I waited a week to discuss needed medication. She should make me a priority first thing tomorrow morning if she had any ethics! Unprofessional!!!

I have been seeing Doctor Kun for over ten years. She is very compassionate, understanding, and professional. She has been very helpful to me in dealing with anxiety and depression. I highly recommend her.

Made an appointment with Dr. Kun after verifying that she does therapy and NOT just med management. When I went to my session (which she was 20+ mins late to) she decided that my visit would be a referral to see if I needed a psychiatrist. My insurance doesn't require a referral and I plainly told her I wanted to start therapy and she said she was taking new patients. Her only real input the entire session was at the end when she agreed that I needed therapy, not medication, and told me I should go see someone because she can't take on any new patients any time soon. Why did I make a therapy appointment and pay $200 to be told she can't see me but that I should find a therapist? I feel like it was misleading (if not worse) to claim she was taking new patients, but not tell me she was only taking new med management patients when I asked for therapy.

After doing quite a bit of 'shopping around' for a psychiatrist I am greatfull for my friend's recommendation of Dr Kun. She is knowledgable and did not just ask the same list of questions like other psychiatrists but seemed to want to know me as a person not just my symptoms.

Great doctor. Knowlegable and personable. She is usually prompt but occasionaly there is a bit of a wait but never more than 10-15minutes. Either way it's worth it. I have seen other psychiayrists so trust me when I say this.

Very attentive and empathetic. Would recommend Dr. Kun to anyone who needs a psychiatrist but keeps putting it off like I did. Wish I came sooner!
