When Dr. Hansen retired, I was transferred to Dr. Mehmet Fer. He is wonderful, caring and kind. I can't begin to express my gratitude to him, for his care, both physically and emotionally. Dr. Fer understands what cancer patients go through and he deserves an award for patience. Each time I have an appointment (traveling from out of state to see him), he has given me 110% of his time and knowledge. I am truly, so grateful for Dr. Fer. A shout out to Matt, Dr. Fer's "right hand." Matt is as professional, sincere and kind as Dr. Fer. Sincerely, a wonderful human being. Every single oncologist, surgeon, PA, nurse and assistant at Swedish Cancer Center in Seattle, has treated me with respect and dignity. I am grateful to each and every one of you. Thank you...D.D.

Was asigned to our case after emergency brain tumor surgery. Came to see husband at 9:00 pm the day after surgery. I called to schedule appointment, waited 2 days in hospital room and never saw him. He told the hospital that he met with us, never did, had to wait to return home to Sequim before finding out he was Stage 4, terminal. Lack of information resulted in a lot of extra time in hospital & radiation, which we would not have done if informed. Explanation was " it is covered by Medicare". His lack of care, information, and contact has caused us, our family and friends a lot of stress. However, did hesitate to bill Medicare for his lack of service.

He stops to talk when I am near his office but not specifically seeing him. He is always available by phone, no question is dumb. A patient genuinely feels he cares about your welfare and recovery. He will open doors for you that others have closed. They don't come any better than Dr. Fer!

Dr Fer is always running late however he's worth it. He has an incredibly love for his practice and caring for people. He was the only positive thing I looked forward to every week and trust me, I needed something to look forward to! Cancer sucks. He has an incredible bedside manner - I found him comforting, supportive and a great listener. He's not on-time but he's worth waiting for.
