Dr. Melissa Joyce Hague

I had a bad experience with my previous obgyn and need a second opinion. my primary doctor said he would set me up with a new obgyn for a fresh look at my issue. Dr.hagues office and staff are great and professional, along with the tech that did my ultrasound. I went to see Dr. Melissa Hague because I was having a abnormal bleeding issue. I also have a blood disorder that causes blood clots, so that's is why I was concerned. My other obgyn had already told me I would be to the phase of having a hysterectomy to correct the problem. And I was scheduled for the surgery but had a issue with the doctor. A few days before my appointment with Dr. Hague I had a ultrasound done and was told the doctor would tell me the results. The day of my appointment I was shocked by the treatment I received by Dr. Hague right from beginning when she entered the room I was treated like I had offended her and was a waste of her time. I had hoped to be able to discuss the issues I have been having and what… would be the best route to proceed (with no previous medical records of other obgyn doctor coming into the the discussion - a fresh look) I understood with in a few minutes that she was not interested hearing anything I was saying about my bleeding issues and if surgery was the right route for me and the concerns I had about my blood disorder getting worse, she had already formed her own opinion on my previous obgyn notes that had been sent to her office. When we did talk she told me that the doctors I had seen before had done everything right and it was me having a problem with the doctors. The doctors I had seen before had been trained at the same places as her so why would I think I'd get a different result coming to her to be seen. Also I was overreacting and I didn't have the blood disorder I had told her about at the beginning of the conversation (by the way I have paperwork from test results proofing I do have it) she said all of this in a very unkind tone and you ould tell she was trying to end the conversation as fast a possible. By the way 5 mins into the conversation she had finally told me about my results for the ultrasound before that I had no idea the results. Results: everything was normal. I had some questions about how I was still having pain with test results being fine and was trying to ask but everything seem so rushed. At that time she had raised her voice to tell me I was not letting her talk so I tried to remain quiet, she then suggest that I do a less invasive surgery and medicine as a alternative to having a historectomy it didn't seem like a discussion more of a here's the things to do take it or leave it. She also told me my pain was normal and that I might have pelvic floor issue( I'm 33 yrs old and have never had kids), and my heavy bleeding issue was normal most women had that most just lived with it, it wasn't that big of a deal. She was acting like she wanted to wash her hands me, she said if I couldn't make up my mind on what she had suggested she was ending the appt it definitely felt like a assembly line and I was a default product that didn't fit the mold. At the end as she was heading for the door, I had asked if there was a way to salvage this conversation because we still had never covered any of the issues I had come to see her for. Right then there was a phone call for the doctor which she took I thought at first that was the end of the appt but before she left she said she would be back. When she came back still slightly in a angry mood, we were able to sit a have a discussion calmly about what was the better options for me with real dialogue we figured out I could try a medication to regulate my periods and see how that went. Also I would be going to physical therapy to see if I had a issue with my pelvic floor. My hope is it will work. I'm sorry to say I can't recommended Dr. Hague not with the treatment I received at the beginning of the appointment most will not wait and be that nice for a doctor t

We were referred to Dr. Hague for my 5-year old daughter, who had fused labia and needed it separated. Dr. Hague was truly amazing with my daughter, and very calming to me when the procedure was done. I was so impressed by her knowledge, patience, and professionalism, I switched to her for my GYN needs! She is truly caring, makes you feel comfortable, and she's hilarious! I highly recommend Dr. Hague.

Visit was overall very comfortable. She takes the time to listen to any questions and symptoms. The staff are very helpful and nice office is very clean.

I continue to be impressed with Dr. Hague. She is so personable, yet professional. She continually puts me at ease during appointments that have the potential to be awkward. I would definitely recommend her!

I am so glad I prayed and God answered my prayers. My daughter sees her also so and I can't thank you enough for just being real. Thank you so much for a lowing God to use you in your gift.

I could not ask for anymore care and concern I was shown during my recent appt with Dr. Hague. She is very much a professional but at the same time treats you like a friend she wants to help. She makes an appt something you remember as a pleasant experience and you will not be dreading the next scheduled visit to her office.

Have not needed a follow up as yet.

Love her and the staff...always courteous and knowledgeable!!!! Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a great doctor for their pregnancy and after care!!!

love this doctor!! execellent with making sure you have a great pregnent experience,great health care guidence the whole time and a wonderful labor,with good care after.Her P.A is just as great as her and the office staff are nice and respectful as well and that means alot.

Dr. Hague delivered all three of my nephews, so when it was time to switch from my general practitioner to an OB/GYN she was the obvious choice. Dr. Hague is kind, patient and so knowledgeable. Well woman exams usually aren't the most comfortable or fun visits, but they're necessary and Dr. Hague made it a breeze. IAbsolutely love her!
