Dr. Michael Robert Arnstein, MD

Dr. Arnstein's diagnosis for a four month old surgical keloid scar was to remove the scar by cutting it out in conjunction with radiation treatments. I could not believe how invasive his treatment would be for a simple 1.5 inch keloid scar. I wondered if he had lost his mind. Thank God I have had a previous keloid; needless to say, I knew that I only needed a simple Kenalog (steroid) injection to make it disolve and go away. The only reason I went to see Dr. Michael Arnstein was because my Workers' Compensation nurse, Sandra Ashlock, assigned him to me. She called me after my consultation with the Dr. Arnstein and asked if I had been treated. I said, "No, because his treatment was too invasive and over the top." Sandra said, "I thought so too." I said, "If you thought so, why did you send me to him." She said, "You wanted a doctor that was local." OMG! A doctor that was close over an extremely invasive treatment plan. Who are these people? Dr. Arnstein will give you… an invasive treatment that is costly and unnecessary in order to make money, which is unethical. He obvisously, didnot have my best interest in mind; otherwise, he would have suggested a Kenalog injection. My keloid is gone thanks to a dermatologist. By the way, when I entered Dr. Arnstein's office. He said, "Hello," and then he made a phone call and talked for a while.
