Dr. Balk is the best cardiologist in Atlanta. He is attentive to his patients, caring and really listens.

very nice doctor friendly, allways good experience everyone is allways nice and dr Balk will answer any questions. I would say the experience is welcoming and friendly from front office to DR.

I saw Dr. Balk for treatment of what turned out to be a rare congenital heart defect. Dr. Balk displayed a great deal of knowledge during my initial visit and showed concern for my general well being by scheduling 2 diagnostic procedures on the same day to get to a definitive diagnosis as soon as possible. My issue ultimately led to surgery. Dr. Balk recommended a heart surgeon that my own independent investigation confirmed was the very best choice that he could have made. The surgeon later was very complimentary of Dr. Balk's work, saying that the thoroughness of Dr. Balk's diagnostic work saved me the cost and inconvenience of further diagnostic work by the surgeon prior to surgery. Dr. Balk came highly recommended to me and I highly recommend him to others needing a cardiologist.

My whole family uses Dr. Balk. I credit him for saving my mother's life. His diagnosis and treatment of her was very radical 17 years ago, but is now becoming a standard of practice. He follows me, my husband, father, mother and brother. Our quality of life wouldn't be the same without him. Excellent diagnostician.

Dr. Balk changed my medicine. When I had trouble with the new medicine, I couldn't get in touch with him. I continued to leave messages. I talked with his nurse on several occasions and it was suggested I see a nurse practioner, but I needed to see the doctor. After 3 trips to the hospital, I still couldn't get him to return my calls. When I finally got an appointment, the day of the appointment, they called and canceled it and I had to re-schedule. Too busy to communicate with patients.
