Dr. Michael Schwartz, DO

I had my first visit with Dr. Schwartz yesterday. I checked in with a very friendly staff and had maybe 10 minutes of wait time. I was in the exam room not more than a minute and Dr. Schwartz promptly came into the room. I was there due to ongoing problems with reflux acid and and other gastronomy issues. He was extremely kind and listened to my issues and didn't go to an extreme to resolve them. He started by upping my dose of my Rx and said to see how that helps and we will continue from there. He took all the time with me that I needed and was caring and a very good Dr. Im very impressed with him and will continue to see him.

Love this office

I would recommend Dr. Schwartz to any of my family and friends. Takes time and listens to my history and complaints. I felt totally relaxed and was at ease discussing personal issues with him.

I have went to this doctor 3 times. I have serious ibs and diverticulosis. Doctor Schwartz never acts like he cares. A complete opposite of Doctor Baskin, who he took the practice from. No ideas except change my diet to liquid. Abandoned!

will not go back

I had almost the same exact experience as the other patient with problems with Dr. Schwartz's hemroid banding. I was in excruciating pain during the procedure in the office and in unnecessary pain and discomfort after the procedure. I too had to go back to the office one hour after the banding because I could barely walk due to my body naturally curling up in a fetal position from the emence pain, not to mention, he misplaced the banding because he does not use a scope (he goes in blind and feels around with his hand and attaches the band). This had a potentially dangerous effect on me because I could not urinate. When I went back, as I mentioned, an hour later, he was infuriated, annoyed, and arrogant. He aggressively loosend the banding and told me that he put it in the right place. Again, I never felt so much pain in my life. He too told me that there was nothing more he could do for me. the kind nurse let me clench her hand, I was dizzy and in shock from the pain that I… almost passed out. The pain lasted for more than 3 days. I am disgusted. Dr. Schwartz is, by far, the worst, most thoughtless careless doctor I have ever dealt with. His inexperience with banding lead me to complications and unnecessary pain and suffering.

Dr. Schwartz is a kind caring Dr., who put me at ease with his knowledge and expertise in his field. After going to my own primary Dr., and getting no satisfaction I finally found Dr. Schwartz. He immediately got to work diagnosing my symptoms and was able to come up with a plan for a cure.

Listened to my concerns, gave me a great alternative prep and was happy with his staff too!

Had hemmorhoid banding and colonoscopy. During colonoscopy he placed the third and last band. Ended up with extreme pain in the middle of the night. Called his office first thing in the morning when they opened. Was told he would call me as soon as he arrived. 1 hr later still no call and I was in agony. I called back and told staff had left him note on his desk and that he was with patients! I told her again, I was in extreme pain and needed him to call me. 30 minutes later still no call!!! I called again and was told to go ahead and come in and they would let him know. He saw me and manually moved the band twice! I was screaming in pain and he totally acted annoyed with me. After he moved it the second time, he snapped his gloves off and said "that's all I can do for you." I was shocked. By that night, I had swelling and bleeding and continued pain. I called him after hours and he asked if I was doing what he said with sitz baths and oinment (which I was). Again, said "Well there's… nothing more I can do for you." Seriously! He is a total jerk. I had to go see another Gastro MD who sent me to a colorectal surgeon. My minor problem of hemmorhoids is now so much worse and now I need surgery! I do not recommend anyone see Dr Schwartz! When the going got tough, he abandoned me!
