Dr. Robert Michael Graham, MD

I went to Dr. Graham because Tricare sent me a referral to him. I had surgery for a meniscus tear in my knee, however, my knee was still in pain. After 2 months of physical therapy I was still unable to use it. I asked for a second MRI, which he said he would do after I did another round of PT. After the second round of PT I asked for the MRI again as the knee was still not working. He refused unless I did a further six months of physical therapy. At that point I got a second opinion and found that I had an ACL tear. He missed the ACL tear and would not listen to me that the knee was not healing, and point blank refused to give me a second MRI, even when I directly requested him to and when he had already agreed to it. Read his sanctions, he is a poor doctor who is no longer allowed to operate in New York and has sanctions here in VIrginia.

If you see Dr Graham run as fast as you can the other way. Find another nd. Check state board of nursing regarding his sanctions and how careless he is with the lives and wellbeing of his patients. Riun

My exam experience was pleasant, but their practice of supplying unnecessary and overpriced medical equipment without first disclosing the price shows their interests lie with profit rather than patient care. I was given two necessary items. But the third, a lace up ankle brace available in stores for $25, was "in case you want something afterward" and later billed as $82. When I said I would not have accepted it had I known the price, they said "well you signed a form saying you would pay." I never even used that brace. They even indicated that they would talk to their staff about disclosing price first (implying their system was flawed) and yet, I still have to pay the price for their bad policies and procedures. I was willing to pay for the item, just at a reasonable price. They would not budge.

MOST MEMORABLE WAS THE DIRTY HOSPITAL,DEPAUL HOSPITAL. WOULDN'T GO BACK TO THAT JUNK YARD TO HAVE MY PET RACOON WORKED ON. A NON-LOAD BEARING EIGHT WEEK PROCEDURE ENDED UP TO BE 13 MONTHS IN WHEELCHAIR DUE TO STAFF INFECTION. ENDED UP AT DUKE FOR FINAL BONE GRAPH. SHOULD HAVE GONE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. AT THAT TIME GRAHAM DID NOT DO SURGERY IN ANY OTHER HOSPITAL BUT DEPAUL. MAYBE THAT'S BECAUSE OF HIS PAST MEDICAL HISTORY IN NEW YORK.

GETTING SURGERY TACKS TOO LONG DOCTOR HAS TO MANY TO DO NEEDS HELP WITH THAT OTHER THEN THAT GOOD DOCTOR

I have had two ankle surgeries done by Dr. Graham and his staff have never been anything but patient, nice and helpful to me (and I'm not the easiest of patients). As for Dr. Graham, he may not always be the most touchy, feely, schmoozing kind of doctor, but he has never been rude or mean. He is all business, addresses issues you can (and need to) have an effect on and does his business very well. For my ongoing problems, I will never see anyone else. I'd rather see a skilled, talented doctor like Dr. Graham, than a less talented doctor that tells you what you want to hear and schmoozes you.

I have had a bad experience with Dr Graham. He will not take the time to explain the specifics of my ankle surgery. In addition, he was not prepared for my per op and rushed me in and out. After investigating his past patients with so many negatives I will not continue.

I had bunion surgery on my right big toe. Dr. Graham explained by diagnosis and the procedure he felt would be best to remedy the problem. I asked every question I could think of. He answered all questions and more. It's been four months and I feel I am recovering nicely. I think I may need hip replacement and will consider him "hands down".

Staff is very tricky when asked about which insurance they accepted. Their answer was, "We accept all insurances", acting as if they didn't understand that I meant if they accepted mine. Then, had the nerve to bill me for 'out of network' charges. Dr. Graham has gotten too big for his britches, and acts more like a 'God', than a Doctor. If you question him or ask too many questions, he gets agitated. His PA isn't much better, either. It's like they protect each other and play tattle-tale about what the patient had to say. Both are rude and dismissive. I would never recommend this Doctor. He may be good; but, no one is that good!
