Dr. Haak was straight forward but yet kind about what I had been trough and the problem I am still having.

Had an awesome experience with Dr Haak. Took more than enough time to explain my condition. Wasn’t rushed and was totally comfortable with dr Haaks bedside manner. He was very knowledgeable and we left feeling good knowing Dr Haak would be there when we need him in the future! Thanks Jeff

During my visit with Dr. Haak he spoke at his paper and not too me. Never looked at MRI with me. Left in tears and headed to Sun Orthopedics.

Dr. Michael Haak did a horrible back surgery on me that ruined my life. I am 37 and no longer can work because of the botched back surgery done by Dr. Haak. I think he was hung over the morning of my surgery. He looked like the cat dragged him in to work. My current surgeon told me never to let Dr. Haak do anything on my back again because "Dr. Haak did a horrible job on your first back surgery." I am in terrible pain every second of my life because my hardware is loose and my back is not fused. Dr. Haak should NOT be allowed to perform surgery on anyone ever again. DO NOT ALLOW DR. HAAK TO DO SURGERY ON YOU. HE WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE. Not only are his bedside manners awful, but his skill set as a surgeon are minimal, if he has any at all. Dr. Haak - I need 3 surgeries to fix the disaster of a job that you did to me. You ruined my life. You treated me like I did not matter. Well, I do matter. I am a human that used to have a career and life. Now, I can't have children because of you. I… no longer have a career. i can barely dress myself. It is because of your lack of knowledge in the operating room. Then again, I think you still were drunk the morning of my surgery. I wish I never met you. I discourage anyone considering Dr. Haak as their surgeon. He will do a botched job on you too.

Didn't seen very interested in listening to what was wrong and only spent about 3 min in the room with me to not even give me answers or help me at all

I initially saw Dr. Haak about 15 months ago - 12 months I had neck fusion w/ disc replacement! I am extremely happy with my results! I can move my neck without pain. He spent about an hour with me at my first appointment - reviewing my MRI/CT/xrays with me and giving me options. He gave me some websites that I found to be very helpful and followed up with me in a week. I then scheduled my surgery. I found him to be very easy to relate to - he answered all my questions - he was very courteous and concerned. I now see his PA and Nicole is awesome! Everyone in the department is kind and professional. Grateful for all of them!

Pushed surgery and when we refused he sent us to our family physician. Did not really want to discuss other methods of treatment. His staff is worse.
