Dr. Michael I Resnick

I thought Dr. Resnick was very nice, but my son did not have anything major. My biggest complaint is the office staff. They are very rude and very, very unfriendly. When you walk into a doctor's office, it can be a nervous situation for many and the office staff is horrible. Very cold, no smile--they act like you are not even there. When I went to pay, the girl called me by a different name and did not even look up once. They really need to get rid of people that do not like their job and give to someone more pleasant.

After a scheduling conflict with my original doctor, (at Columbia Univ Hosp) we decided that in the interest of my 2 year old daughter, we should see a local doctor to remove the cast in time, so she doesn't have to suffer the cast more than the doctor recommended. I called Rockland Ortheopedics, and breifly described my situation, they gave us an appointment for the day we asked for. I chose this doctor as this is closest to me, after all i'm just removing the cast - BIG MISTAKE. The staff there is extremely rude, and impatient. A long story short, they didnt like this idea (even though i clearly stated the purpose of my visit at the time i made the appointment), and tried in every way possible to get us out of the office, if not for the interest of my child, i would've given up. They asked for the records, proof that insurance is OK, and on and on..., they tried every trick in the book. ...no they didn't succeed, i couldn't let me child suffer an extra minute. For now,… I dont wish this rude experience on anyone.
