Dr. Michael R Migden

Migdon Dr. Michael Migden is a highly skilled, master physician. The culture of the entire office is pleasant, and it is obvious that they genuinely enjoy working with him. His care and compassion during this tumultuous part of my life is unmatched. I know what it’s like to be in the care of a doctor who made me doubt and feel bad about myself. It is such a breath of fresh air to be in the care of Dr. Migdon. He listens. When I start speaking, I can see his ears perk up. He discusses my care with me, and lets me be part of my treatment pIan. He makes sure I am comfortable at all times. I am grateful for Dr. Migden as physician.

Seek a Second Opinion and Explore all options. I was prescribed Vismodegib oral chemotherapy and mohs surgery. Patient after care was NOT EXSISTANT! I fought to get a simple blood test. Get a second opinion, excision surgery is an option and maybe no chemotherapy drugs. Thank goodness for my primary care doctor while I had side effects from the visomodegib severe Muscle atrophy which affects your kidney and liver functions (organs). Kidney functions were over 4 times the normal range. I still wonder what the long term effects will be. I feel he is attached / tied to Vismodegib as he helped develop it, etc. We need doctors that listen and provide us with all options just not what they are tied to.

Yesterday was my second MOHS surgery, previous one was 3 years ago. Due to my first excellent experience, I insisted on getting to have him again. His patient care was above and beyond with me the first time and I got to see how kind and wonderful he was with another patient as well. On this occasion, I was very impressed with his mentor ship with his fellow Dr. Peterson, and my wife was astounded at the beautiful care they had taken to provide minute stitching to reduce scarring. Great staff and office and practice. Very grateful.

The things i want to say about him are so bad i will tell him in person. Unfortunately I had to push the one star but he deserves none. He is sarcastic, has no empathy, arrogant and was so rude to his nurse she was in tears. i had a few seconds with her alone and she says she gets treated bad everyday. If u get assigned to him, run fast the other way. But i am a huge believer in M.D. Anderson and would use them again. Just not him.

Dr. Migden is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel like you are his only patient. I was so comforted by the care, compassion, and tenacity he showed in diagnosing and treating my son's skin cancer. He was there for us every step of the way.

Fantastic surgeon, should have been a plastic surgeon, have been cancer free since my visits to this Great Doctor!!

Dr. Migden is an MD and PHD as well as professor. He is an exacting surgeon, pathologist and caring person. He tales the extra steps to make sure surgery is as noninvasive as possible. The fact that he does his own pathology less than 10 feet from the OR suite means fast service and less time waiting for results. Plus he is able to interpret the direction of the skin cancer roots himself rather than relying on another's interpretation. He takes the extra time to make sure closures are and will be as non noticeable as possible. Plus he follows up his own surgery and is willing to take the extra time to minimize scarring. Especially on the face.
