Dr. Michael I Rachman, MD

Doesn't listen and just prescribes drugs when you tell him the family doctor is handling the meds. his staff does not commutate when I got there had to pay a copay they I was told I could not pay by check because he was a first time there. if we make another appointment I could write a check. when the staff said they will call you back and don't do it. all they say is sorry they had a new person and no longer works there. DONT GO TO THIS GUY. I WILL NOT RETURN

I read the other reviews for this doctor and I am surprised at my experience. This man doesn't listen to what you are saying and repeats it back in an offensive way. He over prescribes meds. He more than doubled one of my daughter's meds to the point she could barely stay awake in school and was shaking. He changes multiple medicines at the same time. He is unwilling to talk about the potential side effects the medicines could have for someone under the age 18 - totally dismissive. In our last appointment, I specifically said I want to avoid more than the two meds we already had on-board and he prescribed a third. At the end of the session, I asked him to be more careful about how he is repeating back what he is hearing because he was insighting my daughter saying she needs to get along with other people even though she is the one being bullied in school. He apparently didn't like the fact that I asked him to be careful since he got up and walked out of the room to end the… appointing. Last commentary, he never once reached out to her weekly counselor to gain insight on her situation. He just prescribed on very little interaction with her. I would not recommend this doctor.

I was so nervous for my first visit because you hear stories of drs who want to change your medicines, but he was very nice, professional and thorough and did not want to change my medicines. No wait time.

He saved my life

After being a patient of Dr. Rachman's for over 3 years, I trusted him with the medications that he was prescribing me as well as the fact that I thought he was there to help me. My experience with him, ended up being the most horrific time of my entire life. He was rude, uncaring, and also over prescribed highly addictive amphetamines for a condition that he had never even tested for. After getting copies of my medical records from the office, I found out that he had lied on a lot of the notes as well as getting them back to find out that they were about 70% incomplete. He turned out to be abusive, uncaring, and THE ABSOULTE worst doctor that I have been to see for help in my entire life! His office staff were all very rude, constantly laughing at me when I came out of a session, because they could hear any patient that was seeing Dr. Rachman loud and clear through the doorway. He also loved to throw random samples of drugs to keep on trying, without ever properly weaning my… body and brain off of the other drugs that I had been currently taking from him. If you are expecting him to respond to any emergency calls or get help from in a crisis situation, he will definitely not help you! You may or may not get a call back from when he "gets around to it." I would never recommend even stepping foot in Dr. Rachman's office if you are looking to be treated in a respectable manner as a patient.
