Dr Scherl is a very good doctor, he listened to my concerns .

Very positive experience. I am scheduled for surgery and I know I will receive the best medical care that Englewood Health always provides.

I would recommend Dr. Scherl to anyone. He is incredibly knowledgeable and is an amazing physician.

I took my mother to see Dr. Scherl. My siblings and My children are all doctors. So I never write bad reviews! Chemistry between a dr and a patient is a personal and one bad review can impact a person when it's possible that the reviewer is not seeing the whole pictures. I'm well aware that emergencies can affect the time a dr. Can spend with a patient and that the patient might not understand or agree with course of treatment.This was not the case at all. When he realized that we were not going to buy new hearing aides from him, very early on in the exam. He simply scraped the wax out of her ear and He literally put his hands up and said well you won't hear and walked out. He didn't listen to anything my mother said or wanted to ask him. She had an issue with an irritation in her sinus and he didn't even look at it, in fact he didn't even spend enough time to allow her or myself tell him about it. He sent in his staff to again try to sell us on new hearing aides. So unless you're… going for hearing aides do not go!

Waited in a packed waiting room for 50 minutes and another 13 minutes in a room before the doctor came in. Then waited about another 10 minutes while they set up for the procedure for which the appointment had been booked. Not well organized or considerate of patients time.

Wait time ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES?.. Westwood waiting room is a joke, they have 2 rows of chairs back to back IN FRONT of the reception window,.. I saw some poor lady get her foot flattened by some obese man who was standing in the slow moving queue. Enter our hero, the "good doctor" Scherl.. he asked me why was I there today, and I replied that I had had persistent deep coughing fits and was experiencing malaise and FEVER.. he then ASKED me do I have swollen glands? (well aren't YOU supposed to check that doc?)..also which I found very curious is that he never once TOOK MY TEMPERATURE nor did he check my heart rate which is usually a staple in most office visits. He DID, by the way whip out his endoscope to make the observation that I had nasal polyps and made the remark more than once that he could remove them in the office..and drum up more billable services in the process but WHAT ABOUT the problem at hand doc? He then seemed to ponder while tapping away on his… computer(probably playing solitaire) and then said he felt it to be something VIRAL due to the fever and malaise..then he flip flopped and said he felt it was bronchitis/asthma related,... and writes me a script for an ANTIBIOTIC, and prednisone(why would I want to put that crap in my system if you're just GUESSING?)..then when I asked him at long last about the fever, he said once again he felt it could be VIRAL.. Well which is it doc?.. if you treat a viral infection with an antibiotic it would not only prove futile, but end up weakening the immune system allowing the virus to continue its course..but I shouldn't have to tell him that, 12 years plus of schooling should have done that already..no, the answer is that ol' doc scherl didn't care, and was just throwing drugs at it knowing it would persist and he'd get more billable office visits out of me. Pathetic. I'll be calling the billing department and requesting a full refund for my copay. Rob someone else.

Dr. Scherl is a caring ,compassionate, reassuring physician whose primary concern is his patient. In the mist of all my fears, his calming manner was very comforting. His communication with my other doctors regarding my care was very important and he did it with complete thoroughness. He's a great doctor and I would refer friends and family, alike, to HIM. Many thanks, Dr. Scherl!!! Glad I found YOU!

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant about my sonâ??s upcoming surgery. However, Dr. Scherl was great and very informative. He and the staff of Englewood Hospital did everything possible to make what could have been a very unpleasant experience into a pleasant one. His office staff, as well as, the hospital staff were very attentive. Thank God my son did not suffer any complications and his recovery has been great. I would recommend Dr. Scherl to my family and friends. Itâ??s unfortunate that some people had what they perceived as a bad experience, but we did not experience any of the issues stated on other reviews.

HORRIBLE experience!!! The office itself is terrible in addition to MOST of his staff!! RUDE and no common sense!! (one star was "mandatory", required field)
