Michael Stanton-Hicks, MD, is Vice-Chairman of the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. His clinical interests are pain, reflex sympathetic dystrophy and regional anesthesia. Dr. Stanton-Hicks is board-certified in both pain medicine and anesthesiology. A frequent lecturer at national and international meetings, Dr. Stanton-Hicks has authored more than 130 articles, book chapters and textbooks. Dr. Stanton-Hicks is an active member and committee chairman for numerous national and international professional societies including the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians, American Academy of Pain Medicine, the European Society of Regional Anesthesia and the International Association for the Study of Pain (American Pain Society). He also has been the president of many of these organizations including the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the American Academy of Medical Infrared Imaging and the American Neuromodulation Society. Dr. Stanton Hicks changed my life. He’s is an incredible physician with the heart of a saint! He is compassionate and beyond skilled when it comes to treating CRPS. He worked with my local physicians and made sure I had everything I needed during a flare up and made sure I was safe and treated appropriately. I am eternally thankful for him. All my love and respect go to this man.

I was injured 30 years ago, and Dr. Stanton-Hicks has been my pain management physician for the past 16 years. I have always been treated with respect and he takes time to listen intently and I have never been rushed. The old joke around the pain dept. is "What time zone is he working in today?" beacuse he does take the time necessary with each patient. I can't imagine where I would be today without Dr. Stanton-Hicks. I dread the day when he no longer practices medicine.

I have been a patient of Dr Stanton-Hicks for several years and would highly recommend him. He is an outstanding physician; extremely knowledgeable and personable. Without his expertise I honestly do not know where I would be today.

I traveled from Chicago twice to see Dr. Michael Stanton Hicks. He spent less than five minutes with me. He was cold an arrogant. He made a mess of my medical records. He could not even figure things out his record keeping was so bad. I should have filed a complaint with the medical board. This doctor caused me even more suffering.

i was late 2nd stage rsd and can now put weight on it. it still hurts to a degree, but i did not loose it
