Dr. Michael Edmund Sulewski, MD

My father had a very troubling experience with cataract surgery performed by Dr. Sulewski. After the procedure, we were informed that complications had occurred—specifically, the doctor had broken the lens during replacement, causing fragments to fall into the retina. When we asked how this complication happened, we were never given a clear explanation or any sense of accountability. To address the error caused by Dr. Sulewski, my father had to undergo another surgery with a retina specialist. Despite this, my father remained unable to see for two months following the second surgery. When we inquired about the likelihood or timeline for his vision to return, we never received a straight answer. To make matters worse, both doctors deflected responsibility, blaming each other, leaving us without clarity or support. Now, six months after the initial surgery, my father has regained only minimal vision—essentially no improvement from his condition before surgery. Based on this deeply… frustrating and disappointing experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Sulewski.

Had surgery over year ago. Never treated so poorly. Another site he has all 4 and 5 stars. Must be fake! He does not care about his patients at all. Your a number. He just wants to do it and get his money. I had a problem with the one I and I asked him if he could correct it and he laughed at me. Hate to say it but he’s a real jerk. Save yourself the anxiety and go to someone who really cares. Stop in to his Radnor office on post surgery visit day and listen to the patients in line talking about how rude and unprofessional he is. Don’t go!

I really liked Dr. Sulewski. He obviously knows his stuff - very relaxed and willing to share details of diagnosis and prognosis. I see better now without glasses than I have seen in years.

I found him to be a very intelligent, caring doctor.

I not only waited 5 hours for my appointment, but this doctor was rude, implying I shouldn't even be there without a referral. On top of this, he did not recheck the prescription the nurse had obtained for my eyes and it was wrong. I had to have my eyes reexamined by an optician to get a proper prescription for glasses. The whole experience was an OUTRAGE. If he spent 3 minutes looking at my eyes, I'd be surprised!

The repair on my iris exceeded my expectations- it looks perfect and I never expected it could turn out this well.

Dr. Sulewski is an expert and kind physician and diagnostician in every way. As a patient, one has many choices in the Philadelphia area -- but the best choice is a doctor who listens and cares and is responsive, and also has the necessary expertise to help. All this is true of Dr. Sulewski. I highly recommend him and his staff.
