Dr. Michael M Vesali

Dr. Michael M. Vesali has poor communication skills. He had trouble finding words to communicate with during a follow up appointment. After stuttering around what he did say was not clear. When asked if he could provide an example his reaction was similar to someone who was unprepared and lacked confidence. He appeared to be rattled. His response was delivered in an unprofessional and extremely rude manner. Working in a laboratory would be a better fit than seeing patients.

When asked if he could provide an example his reaction was similar to someone who was unprepared and lacked confidence. He appeared to be rattled. His response was delivered in an unprofessional and extremely rude manner. Working in a laboratory would be a better fit than seeing patients.

Very abrupt and doesn't make eye contact often. If anyone looks for personality and a good bedside manner, I wouldn't recommend Dr. Vesali. Felt interrogated and it was challenging to communicate my feelings, unfortunately I won't be back.

This was a horrible doctor. I felt like he was bipolar but cycling every two minutes. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with me so he dismissed me as a patient but would not refer me to anyone else either. I have 15 brain lesions, how can any neurologist just kick someone to the curb like that?

Dr. Vesali is compassionate, listens well, gives good advice, learned, HOWEVER, his staff ruined my chances to improve my situation and act on my diagnosis. The doctors wife is the office manager so if she doesnt like you for any reason, throw your money down the drain. You wont get back in. Period. I wish someone would sue. Its a pity that such a great doctor has the rudest and most harmful staff. Sleep med is not well staffed in wichita. They get away with this because noone in the medical community dares speak up, though they are aware of this problem. So distressing as i have serious issues that cost me much money and hope to be dashed because of two vindictive women at the front desk.

The most memorable thing I remember is the horrendous staff he employs. Front office staff is often rude, unhelpful,abrupt. Dr. V. does not employ a nurse. New patients are not given a copy of office policies. If an appointment is missed without 24 hours notice the charge is $75.00. They also do not answer the phone between 12-1 p.m. Or after 3 p.m. The phone is not answered after 2:30 p.m. On Fridays. Actually, the staff rarely answers the phone. The patient must leave a voice mail for the nurse ( there is no nurse)' the appointment person or the business office. There are only two people in that office and they are too busy to answer the phone. If you want a chuckle, call that number and listen to the message. I assure you no live person will answer! Each time I had a sleep study, I received another diagnosis. I use a CPAP machine that has an internal card that records "important" information about pressure setting, my use of the machine, etc. I was told to bring this card… with me to every appointment so the doctor could insert the card into his computer program and track my progress. A few times I forgot to take the card. Staff did not ask for it nor did the doctor. I quit taking the card and it was never mentioned. I received truly good counsel about the importance of weight loss, diet and exercise to improve the quality of my life. Other than that it began to seem like it was all about money. I spent too many years going to this physician.

the office manager is rude and hateful

After horrible experiences with the "best" neuros Wichita was said to have, I remembered that the on call doctor who told me about IV steroids 6 months into the flare that cost me my legs. That was Dr. V! AND he was accepting new patients! He is wholistic in his approach to medicine. "What I put into my body is what I will get out of my body". The teamwork in his office is impeccable, not just in their office, but also in the coordination with my other doctors. Dr. Vesali cares. He remembers what's going on with me and works with me. He listens to me and will also tell it like it is! He is by far the most professional doctor I have encountered yet he doesn't have a god complex. I would and I have referred my friends to him. And because of his expertise, I have had my first remission in 3 years and I can walk again!

This doctor is unbelievable! At my first appt he was very precise & cautious regarding my issues. He recommended some tests which I had done. The tests suggested sleep issues, which I thought 4 to 6 hrs a night was standard, after a sleep study he found I was not getting oxygen at night. Dr has me using a CPAP & I have never felt better...more energy during the day & resting better at night...under his care for over 2 years & now feel much younger than my 70+years..Thank you Dr V

Dr. Vesali diagnosed me on day one for something I've had for nearly two decades or longer. I'd been complaining to my regular doctor for TWO YEARS before I finally got to see Dr. Vesali. He diagnosed me on the first visit (follow up tests conducted to confirm)!! Had somebody not caught it, I would have lost my job and since I was gaining TEN POUNDS A WEEK, I think I would have died from heart failure soon. Dr. Vesali helps me with my nutrition intake. He's incredibly knowledgeable and smart. He's not a doctor that thinks he "knows it all". He's open to the fact that there's information out there that he doesn't have. I wouldn't want any other doctor to treat the illness I see him for. My only difference with him is that I am a minimalist when it comes to medication. We've had our difference on what/how much meds I should take. Although probably not anymore than the difference I have with my family physician also. I simply do not like to put medications in me unless I have… to.Ultimately I did what I felt was right for me, which I think everyone should do. In some cases I proved him wrong. In other cases, I proved him right. Either way, I'm in GREAT health compared to when I started seeing him, and he's never been a jerk to me by any means. He expresses compassion on an appropriate level. He's not overly compassionate but not a pompous jerk either (a lot of Neurologists are). His wife and other staff have always been cordial to me. And when he sends me to have tests done, it's always to a very reputable, high-tech place that gets good results, and fast!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
