Dr. Michael William Foote, MD

I went to this provider for an annual diabetes eye check. On top of my copay, they billed me an extra $52 for testing that my PCP did not order and justified it by burying "consent forms" in an online check-in process that they claim allows them to do whatever testing they want, just because. Without the consent of my PCP. At the recommendation of a friend that is a nurse practitioner, I reported this office's practices to BCBS. I'm sure they appreciate paying for unnecessary testing. I work for UTEP and have good insurance, so it was “only” $52 for that completely unnecessary exam for me. But based on what insurance you have; it could be any amount. Are you prepared to pay $104 for one doctor’s appointment where I only saw the doctor for 20 minutes? No? Then, don’t go.

I had corrective Lasik procedure done on both eyes, 3 weeks ago with Dr. Michael Foote. It was a very pleasant experience! Dr. Foote, David and Cindy did a great job in explaining the screening processing and the procedure and healing process. They answered all my questions and concerns and I was more than ready to schedule the procedure after my consultation. I did not feel pain during the procedure or afterwards. I have been using corrective glasses/contacts for 30 years and I was ready to not be dependent on them anymore. I should have done this sooner! Thank you to the entire staff at Sun Laser Vision Center, I am a very satisfied client!

Had to wait forever to get in but the Dr. I had was super nice and seemingly thorough< then I went to the eyeglasses part and had to wait again and that lady was rather snippy. She seemed thorough however and made me an appointment to pick up my glasses on Monday, (I live in Las Cruces) but had a friend who on that day needed a ride to the hospital for procedures on her back after which she could not drive so I had to call and reschedule. They eyeglass lady said they only do glasses on Mondays so it would make me go another week unable to see very well and I told her that was an awful long time for me to go without glasses. She retorted with "well you're the one who wants to change the appointment!" I was less than impressed! The second Monday finally came and I went to get the glasses and it is the first time I ever received new glasses where I was not asked to read a card using them, in fron of the person giving them to me. Got home to discover I had to use readers on top… of my very expensive new glasses to see well enough to read! So they rescheduled a time to see me and I ended up staying there nearly 3 hours mostly in wait time! A long time before being checked and I felt the lady doing that was very nice and doing her best but then I had to see the eyglass person again after a long, long wait and she told me the prescription was 1/4 off but it was not enough to take the time and money to change it and they recommended eye therapy and eye drops for dry eye! I was just noy happy and after wasting most of a day trying to get it straightened out and talking to many others about it I decided to just try to get my money back and go elsewhere. So I called them and they agreed if I returned the lenses (the frame is mine) and signed, they would refund the lens money! I am still facing having to pay for another exam from someone else unless my insurance can talk to them! I would never recommend this place to anyone!

I called to make an appointment to have a growth on my eyelid checked out. When I got there, they started with an eye exam. I said I'm not here for that, I need to have this growth on my eyelid checked out. they said that the Dr. said I needed to have a complete eye exam first. Two hours later they want to dialate my eyes. I say whoa, I need this growth checked out. Dr. orders, first exam then check. I refuse to have dialation, make complaint. Dr. shows up and starts in on my eyes, not mentioning the growth. A few minutes later, she looks at the growth, makes a couple of notes, then says that I'll need to make another appointment to have a complete eye exam done (since I refused dialation) then the Dr. would look at my growth. I"m not going to pay for services I didn't ask for since they never addressed the reason I went there in the first place. I'll find another Dr.

The wait was worth it. Dr. Foote and his staff are amazing. They took very good care of me and explained the process along the way. If you need a Great Dr. and staff I highly recommend Dr. Foote and his staff. I am so happy no more glasses and I love it. It makes me feel young again Thank you Dr. Foote and staff.

It’s been over 2 years since my LASIK/Kamra Inlay procedures. OMG, what a life changer! Why did I wait so long???!! The staff is awesome, knowledgeable and very professional. Definitely recommend Dr. Foote. He is very courteous and patient ????

Be ready to be sitted for over 3 hours!

I had been wearing glasses and contacts for over 15 years and I knew that it was time to get Lasik. From the first time that I was helped in Sun Laser Vision Center, I felt very comfortable. My first evaluation was performed by David. David was extremely helpful and made sure to explain every scan that was being made and their results. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I was then seen by Dr. Foote who was equally amazing in his explanations and help. He double checked that I was good to go for the surgery and we scheduled my surgery for a week after that. I was explained what would happen on surgery day and was given instructions of what to do prior to the surgery. On surgery day, I was a bit nervous, but as soon as I walked in the Laser center, I was filled with support from all of the staff. Cindy prepared me for the surgery and she was absolutely amazing. During the surgery, the staff (David, Cindy, Mary Jenn, Miriam, Jesus, Jovi) and Dr. Foote were very… supporting and made me feel relaxed throughout the process. The surgery itself is painless and quick, the recovery period is also quick and easy. I had minimal to no pain the day of the surgery, and absolutely no pain after surgery day. Just a day after my surgery, I had perfect vision! The Post-op appointments have also gone great. I am always warmly greeted and the waiting time to see the doctor is not bad at all. I highly recommend Sun Laser Vision Center to everyone who is interested in getting Lasik, it is worth every penny and I know that they will have the ultimate experience, just as I did.

I love this office, the doctor and the staff. They are all very thoughtful. The office is always clean. I'm very glad this is my place to go-to for anything concerning my eyes.
